Ojha is a pretty good option if you have 3 quality attacking fast bowling options anyway. Though at home we need 2 spinners. But let's not get carried away. While these fast bowlers look promising they are no Steyn and Philander yet and as we know Indian fast bowlers get injured or decline.
Yes an extra good spinner is always a luxury ,but think it this way ,if u are quick in air and can also hit the deck ,plus u have the ability to reverse it and attack the stumps with fuller length ,will have more impact than say an attacking spinner.

People heavily criticising Sandeep in a match where he is not taking wickets are being foolish. He has obviously bowled better in matches where he has taken wickets' date=' else he wouldn't have taken wickets. Everyone has bad days.[/quote'] The fact that he has not taken any wickets today is no issue at all. The thing that Iam a bit worried about is that he is not getting much zip off the pitch. That is an absolute necessity to be a strike bowler, whether spinner or pacer. But like many are saying, he is probably injured and unable to give his best. Also, he is quite young and may improve when he is older.

Yeah, but still BK was mostly bowling in the 130 to 135 range even in ODI's. Average speeds i think give a better idea of how quick a bowler is not fastest ball. Anyways, Kaul at most will clock similar to Shami at the moment because of speed guns.
What Kaul will clock right now is not my concern because he will still take at least 1 season to be ready for international cricket. I am thinking in 2 years if stays fit and continues to work on strengthening, he should certainly be quicker than what he is now.

One thing is sure. We are now getting pacers who are more skilled as well as quicker than most pacers we are used to seeing. They are running in harder, putting more effort, getting more out of the deck, both bounce and cut, as well as swinging the ball.

yeah...its cos of good pitches and attitude of selectors of prefering quicker bowlers i dont think we ever had so many bowlers bowling this quick in ranji before

S Kaul to Jackson, 1 no ball, Joy for Kaul. Then a wait. And then frustration. That's a strange decision. Outswinger, gets the edge, Harbhajan takes a sharp catch at slip. The umpires want to check if this is a no-ball. Replays show Kaul's foot has dragged over the line, but I am sure a part of it was behind when the foot landed. Called a no-ball, though. Not sure I agree

When it fully landed it was just on the line. Was very close and could have gone either way. Razdan on TV was going on about it being a No ball for some reason. Saying it was surely one.
