Shami is a great prospect. Hopefully he can stay injury free as domestic cricket is important to see who has the ability to stay injury free for long periods of time. Someone who is always getting injured is not a good long-term investment.

This is his 2nd season, 2-3 matches last year without much reward but this year he till now averages 16 with an SR of 36, has already taken 30 odd wickets in his 6th match. Shami is a good prospect and he rarely gets injured, but he needs to learn to take wickets on flat tracks too to become an all-season bowler.

Its very hard to expect young bowlers to take wickets on pattas.He should be in the indian test side against aus and then he should play in Southafrica.

Depends what you mean by that. Braithwaite and Powell have both played for West Indies in Tests. I have no doubt Shami (and Awana and Pankaj Singh) will be able to pick up wickets against the likes of Bangladesh, West Indies, New Zealand. As for the likes of Australia, South Africa and England, it is very hard to say until he plays at that level.
