Whoever warms the benches best. Can come in handy on cold evenings.

I had been rooting for Rahane but now I would go for Tiwary. He is a much better bat in tough conditions and stands up during big occasions.
Tiwary will bounced out if he plays.

And Rahane wont?
rahane can play the pull where as tiwary is a sitting duck i mean standing duck.He just forgets his front foot play when somebody bowls short at him and hangs back.

Rahane is NOT cut out for T-20s My Vote goes towards Tiwary....he has proved himself in every format except Tests. Wouldn't mind if Gambhir gets rotated and Rahane gets more opportunity

Rahane is a top 3 batsman Tiwary is a middle order batsman big difference. If the slot in question is 6 then Tiwary who i thought did well with the tail v England If the slot in question is opener then Rahane. Its like comparing apples and oranges.

Also fielding gives Manoj the edge in LOI's

The comparison is between them as players, ofc they will be selected as per the job needed by the team.Although i feel there might be a competition between them in ODI's for a spot in the middle order after Sachine retires

6.4 Bresnan to Rahane, SIX, top edge! And it carries all the way, just has the legs to clear long leg. He wasn't in complete control of the hook but it flew off the bat 6.5 Bresnan to Rahane, OUT, got him this time! The short ball works, Bresnan sends down another bouncer and Rahane's hook only carries as far as Dernbach at long leg who takes it well. Bresnan is pumped up AM Rahane c Dernbach b Bresnan 14 (34m 15b 1x4 1x6) SR: 93.33
dude played two back to back stroke on short ball, and both miss hits. i dont think rahane is that good with short ball as some of your are making him. even worse he is looks like a compulsive puller.

In the odis as an opener Rahane any day. I dont think we have any good back up openers in India for odis. Uttappa seems to have regressed. I thought he would be the one to take over. Dhawan I dont think has the technique. In test matches Mukund and Rahane are the back up openers.

Rahane bats at no.3 for Mumbai and Tiwary bats at no.4 for Bengal. Both are top order batsmen for the Ranji team.
