Sarkar Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Gurgaon: Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan on Wednesday said time was up for trying to solve India-Pakistan issues through "militancy and militarily" but asserted that unless Kashmir issue was resolved, there was "always a possibility" of Mumbai-like attacks. Khan, chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, also said if his party comes to power, he will not allow terrorism against India to originate from his country's soil. Addressing a World Economic Forum meeting, he said while improvement in bilateral trade was welcome, the issue of Jammu and Kashmir must also progress on a parallel line. Terming a solution to the Kashmir issue as "vital", he said "trade, connections, along with cricket matches will help. At the same time, we should develop some sort of a roadmap to resolve Kashmir issue, which is vital". "Because unless we operate on both plains, there is always a possibility, as it happened, relationships were improving, confidence building measures, cricket matches, people-to-people contacts, and then came Mumbai." Stressing the need for a "new relationship", he said "no more trying to resolve our problems through militancy and military but through politics. It should be two-pronged. One to normalise, open up relationships with trade on one side and then start a dialogue on Kashmir." He also noted that his party has three former Pakistani Foreign Ministers who have told him that they had "come pretty close to resolving" the Kashmir issue. He said lack of trust was a basic problem in Indo-Pak relations which got worse after Mumbai attacks and added that efforts should be made to increase the trust factor. "We need to have a new relationship. The moment we form the government, we will be able to control militancy and terrorism in our country. Only a strong government can say that 'look we take responsibility for what happens from our soil', whether it is with India or whether it is with the US," Khan said. http://ibnlive.in.com/news/unless-kashmir-issue-is-solved-mumbailike-attacks-always-a-possibility-imran-khan/304407-56.html
JaFanatic Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 take your terrorists back and the prob is over no need to sit and talk
Clarke Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 What is an Indian going to interpret from this ? Unless you do what we suggest wrt Kashmir (now, something else later) our terrorists will continue to attack you ?
akshayxyz Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Is that an official acceptance that Mumbai-attackes originated from people with interest in Kashmir?
DomainK Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Once a chewtiya always a chewtiya.... And he is supposed to be one of the smartest guys in Pakistan.
King Tendulkar Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 There you go typical pak. Some do open threats of terrosim. Other like Imran do veiled threats Disgusting And we want to play cricket against these mad men
Vijay.Sharma Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Does the BCCI have no shame to schedule a series against these fellows? Forget BCCI, does the Government of India have no shame to allow a series against the Pakis to take place here?
Swing_n_Speed Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Once a chewtiya always a chewtiya.... True. This is him pandering to the religious extremists in his country. And then he talks bout controlling terrorism. What a snake!
Crookbond Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Does the BCCI have no shame to schedule a series against these fellows? Forget BCCI' date=' does the Government of India have no shame to allow a series against the Pakis to take place here?[/quote'] Were you worried about the shame when there was an increase in trade between the two countries after 26/11 ?
King Tendulkar Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Were you worried about the shame when there was an increase in trade between the two countries after 26/11 ? YES Why do you keep spouting this nonsense. Loads of people have been consistent on this. Cut of ALL ties until pak address the terrorism against India. And bring justice and stop being a safe haven to their state terrorists. And when I mean ALL ties I mean economic and social. The cricket matches coming up just bring to the fore to the sickness of interacting with them while they carry on their double game
EnterTheVoid Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Arundhati Roy and this joker are on the same wavelength.

The cricket matches coming up just bring to the fore to the sickness of interacting with them while they carry on their double game It's easier to say that now - can you post relevant excerpts of your posts where you have been actually against this on ICF or any other forum when the trades were taking place? This is not targeted at you but it looks like a lot of people wake up when there's a cricket series being scheduled (Vijay could be an exception though). Otherwise, they are back in their slumber with their merry lives and are least bothered about it. So essentially what happens is - Most people have Sifar knowledge of what is going around on socio-economic fronts throughout the year but the moment a sporting tie is scheduled you come up all in arms. In addition, since you want to be consistent on this please also make us clear that we should have not played them in the semi-final of the World Cup and conceded the match - consistency. Forget trade, I have not seen most people even comment when there were hockey matches scheduled. This for me is inconsistency and hypocrisy. It also shows how we behave like a nation - everything gains traction and slowly dies out. As I have said earlier, cutting off ties does not make anyone feel safe. Terrorists would not stop attacking because socio-economic ties have been cut off. The problem has to be closed from both ends - raising up of internal security and political pressure. Currently, all I can see is that people want the typical Indian jugaad - political pressure to be done. Why? Well, it's easier to do than lay down the actual ground work.
Sarkar Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 Shameless BCCI and Congress want cricketing ties with this terrorist country Imran Khan kashmir belongs to India its our province not your baap ka jagir property.
Texy Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 What Kashmir issue? Why not go back to the sh1thole and try to solve the situation where your ummah brothers are killing each other every day, daughters are getting shot at for studying science and math, minorities are getting arrested on false blasphemy charges, Jihad camps are the #1 source of employment and how the whole world considers your country the armpit of South Asia.
kubrickian Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Till you dont stop terrorism, drone attacks will continue and also spread to the rest of your $_hit country which is inevitable.
Old guy Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 And he is supposed to be one of the smartest guys in Pakistan. this might still be true :winky:
JaFanatic Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 start a war or make me PM which could be the only way that i see to solve our prob with pakistan(terrorism)
PaceAttack Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Unless u stop supporting Kashmiri terrorists, Balochistan issue will be kept alive and more deaths will happen in ur land.
Lurker Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 And he is supposed to be one of the smartest guys in Pakistan. Imran's smartness has never been on an intellectual level but always more on an opportunistic level. In the early 90s he was the gentleman who had given the buland naara that India was boycotting Sharjah because they were afraid of Pakistan. Still remember him saying this with a smirk on a cricket field during an India Pakistan game. Talk of being an arrogant...of course the entire macho Pakistan lapped that line and kept spewing that for over a decade. Although cricketing world, and fans, lost the Wasim/Waqar-SRT/Dravid duel in 90s it was certainly proven that Sharjah games were often fixed, and that Pakistan was supporting insurgency in India, hence Indian action was not entirely out of reason. Then in late 90s, and early 2000s, he started spouting how India should look for fast bowlers in Punjab and Northern India. This time the macho Indians jumped and started spouting this stance lol. Nevermind the fact that the fastest bowlers Srinath and Agarkar were far removed from the area in question. And of course he got about 50 people killed in the whole Quran burning Guantanamo saga. Chewtiya is the right word for him.
