He has already reincarnated into Pujara and is just in the team to make sure the handover goes smoothly. On a serious note he just needs to get going he hits a few boundaries early on looks in good form then gets unlucky or loses concentration. Honestly think laxman would have done the business, some of his best knocks have been in the second innings playing on difficult pitches last one where he had the chance to do this was probably v SA in '10 where he saved us the match.

Not sure if Laxman would have a made difference now but this is exactly the type of situation he relished when he was at his best. Batting with the tail, tough wicket to bat and under pressure. He saved and also won many games for India in dire situations.

Never been so indifferent about an impending Indian loss. This team is a pensioner's club and does not deserve better results. The odd victory here or there is merely papering the cracks. When I watched Swann/Panesar rip apart they also bowled few balls @ 80kph which looked pretty ordinary and our bowlers dished out dollies like that throughout their innings. Taking nothing away from KP's knock but our spinners got it wrong, they would've been better off bowling quicker. On this pitch 80 run lead proved to be quite crucial in the end.

Panesar is more experienced bowler than both. Ashwin is still prety much a rookie in his 10th test. Spinners mature as they play more. This pitch suites Panser style of bowlingand for me, he is certainly a better bowler than Ojha because Ojha does not give enough rip the ball and larg ely depends on surface to do everything. You are talking like our spinners are legends of the game. :giggle:
