Rohit S. Ambani Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Awana will play, Harsha and many other experts have hinted. I'm glad, he is raw, and sometimes you do need raw talent instead of talent that is brainwashed by domestic pace bowling coaches ie. line/length BS.
Rohit S. Ambani Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 Harsha said "it's time to say GOODBYE to Yuvraj/Ishant and use word 'rest' for Zaheer, play Dinda and Awana".

Tiger80 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 According to Zee news sources Zaheer and Yuvraj will definately be dropped and Bhajji and Ishant could go from team

Rohit S. Ambani Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 3 North Zone players are on the verge of being dropped - Ishant, Bhajji, Yuvraj. Noth zone selectors will push for Awana, Mishra and some new domestic guy.
kubrickian Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Ishant doesnt deserve to be dropped IMO. He bowled some good spells on a super flat track but Cook played really well. We expect too much from pacers on docile wickets where bowlers like Finn also looked very ordinary.

His spell to Kohli and Zaheer was master class, way he set-up both batsmen was great, 4-5 inswinging deliveries to Kohli then one away swing outside off inviting Kohli. 2-3 bouncer's to Zaheer then one full pitch Khan stuck on crease.

We can't expect much from pacers on this track, but it's not that Ishant set Aussies and England on fire during our away tours. Even though he bowled economically most of the time, he couldn't pick wickets. He has picked 13 wickets in last 10 tests at an avg of 86 and SR of 153. Any part timer can do better than this on any kind of track.
namasteji1 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Ishant should be sent to county cricket , then i think he will become a better bowler.

Its not like we have an arsenal of fast bowlers on the bench either.
