If India does indeed lose this series then surely he has to go. India's whitewashes and current losses remind me a lot of England's hammering in Ashes 06/07 where the players seemed to be happy being second best.

I believe he did nothing wrong and he didn't do anything. If you see England in 2000's he was game changer for them. If you have a nam ke vaste coach what can he do. BCCI is a control freak. They want to protect players like sachin, dhoni. If you give power to a coach then he can show what he can do knowing BCCI it wont happen.But Indian players need to wok hard. I don't see that in the current squad. They look like they resigned to defeat. Boy their heads go down very soon.

With Indian selectors and board you never really know if Coach is at fault. For all we know he wants changes and selectors aren't. I mean he's done jack since he's joined apart from making the statement that India will dominate cricket 5-10 years. Likely he'll get the boot after Australia series whatever result (his contract ends then).

+1 But I presume he will be the scapegoat and things will be back to as usual. Another point is that What if Ind wins this test? Everything will be swept under the carpet I am an Indian fan but I seriously doubt I will be happy of India wins the match. Dhoni and co. will again have a free ride with some ICF fanboys going gaga over the team's comeback only to be proved otherwise come Feb/ march :((

Lets not make it all about the coach, we have played poor cricket, though i dont see how he will be with the team for long.
