Nova Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 NEW DELHI/NAGPUR: Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Wednesday found himself at the centre of a controversy after the disclosure that the BCCI president N Srinivasan had overruled an unanimous decision of national selectors to sack him from captaincy. All the five national selectors had decided to sack Dhoni in January this year, but BCCI president Srinivasan had intervened and disapproved the decision, according to one of the then selectors Mohinder Amarnath. Dhoni, who is Nagpur for the fourth and final Test against England starting on Thursday, did not appear to bothered by the controversy. Srinivasan needs to be sacked :hehe:
NareshK Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Amarnath is a crazy ****er to say this before an important test match. Why cant he wait till this game is over ? Backstabber who wants the team to fail.

Trichromatic Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Didn't they sack him from wrong format? :hmmm:
Sachin=GOD Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Srini needs to be sacked but that can only happen if some of the influential former players (Kapil Dev, Shashtri, Ganguly, Kumble, Dravid etc) raise their voice on this matter and ask for his removal. But as most of them already have (or want) some or the other administrative position in the BCCI, I don't see that happening so for the moment I think Srini wont be removed. As for Dhoni, I think if India loses this series then even Srini won't be able to save his Test captaincy. and BTW I think now even the biggest bhakts of IPL may have seen its ill effects...............and if they still haven't, then God save Indian cricket.
Lurker Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 How do haraamis like this become so powerful in Indian cricket? This chap is more powerful than seasoned politicians like Arun Jaitley, and cricket greats like Gavaskar, Kapil etc. How the eff did we come to this situation??
Nova Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 Cement King needs to be booted out... He has "cemented" his place in BCCI administration. :king: Major conflict of interest here. How clear can it get? Aai ghalya srini...
Shunya Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Didn't they sack him from wrong format? :hmmm: :agree: dont expect anyone to understand that...
Trichromatic Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 :agree: dont expect anyone to understand that... Well, it might not had been bad idea if they tried to test a captain in ODIs first.

Srini has done a horrible job admit it...but Great cricketer doesn't always equate to great administrator. Credit where due...A Cricketer at the helm might not have had the same impact as say Dalmiya's contribution in India's rise as a power player or Modi with the succesful launch of IPL. Srini's failure off-field equates to the team's failure on field but sometimes think that India's standing in World Cricket wouldn't have been the same without these corporate and political 'haraamis'

This whole fiasco shows how Great cricketer does not automatically make a good selector. I mean the current cricket selecting board is made of cricketers - Patil, Saba Karim, Vikram Rathor etc and result is a big bamboo. That said, it is easy to see how the biggest brands of Indian cricket, both past and present, perform puja of Srini. Right from Gavaskar to Dhoni and Sachin. We are not talking of Ojha and Tiwari here. This chap overrules like of Amarnath and everybody else and picks players on his whim.. And folks like Sunny support him. How did it come to this??? :((

jairamesh Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Indian cricket has been suffering from cancer last 20 months, and no treatment in sight.
