India-KXIP fan Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 6, 3, 10, 45, 17, 0, 8, 16, 17 - last 9 T20 innings, 122 runs in 129 deliveries, avg of 13 and SR of 95..just not good enough Give his spot to a younger player against Pakistan. Add another 20 to that. The openers need to be changed. Like you said we need young openers and in the top 10 for IPL scorers there were Rahane and Mandeep in 2012. Uthappa is easily the best option with Dhawan as backup ... Rahane is anyway a walking wicket in international matches ... His last ten scores in ODIs and T20s are ... 15, 14, 91, 20, 42, 0, 0, 9, 21, 19, 3 ... Being played in the wrong format for the last one year. Rahane failing, Gambhir failing, Dhawan and Vijay failed in IPL. Sehwag doesn't play T20's. Mandeep debut will surely happen very soon :yay: Probably next T20's India plays and then ODI debut from good performance in those T20's.
superstar Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Read a news Gambir is being considered for captaincy and he plays decently today..coincidence?
cowboysfan Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Read a news Gambir is being considered for captaincy and he plays decently today..coincidence? its an utter travesty if he is made captain,he should not even be in the team.I think they should pick Kohli and be done with it.
shortbread Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Gambo ? Captain .. NO .. not at this point . Not at any point.
wanted_desi Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Waste of a Spot, Chand should be given a go instead of this guy. Gambhir won't be able to play in AUstralia anyways.

Rohit S. Ambani Posted January 4, 2013 Author Posted January 4, 2013 He should drop himself if he has even tiny amount of self pride and courage, pathetic run of form. He is still there waiting for Dhoni to step down, if ever Selectors don't agree to make Kohli ODI captain then try Yuvraj, much better option than this selfish player.
saneindian Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Aakash Chopra @cricketaakash Even the longest rope eventually comes to an end. Even his ex Delhi-teammates and one of the biggest supporters of Gambhir seems to have run out of patience. There's still time, drop him from the ODI side right now and let him be away from international cricket to work on his game. Unfortunately no more FC cricket left for Delhi in the season for Gauti to regain form.

Aakash has a grudge as well :-) Gauti can play in Vijay Hazare, Deodhar etc to make necessary changes and adjustments :dontknow:
