Same here. '87 born and Grew up watching him in the '90s. Should have played against Pakistan :(( Definitely right up there with Viv as the greatest ODI batsman ever. :hatsoff:

Me too born in 87. Was a little kid when I watched him score the ton at SCG. Can't remember much but I had this mysteripous feeling whenever I used to see him bat :((

Even for me, Sachin and Viv are the best ODI bats ever. No one even close to them. Sachin just about edges past him because of the longevity of the master's career.

Best cricketer in the 20th and 21st centuries but he was not gonna play many ODI's with his fitness. Dont get why he's still playing tests, too old, no good now. Hopefully selectors leave him out but that won't happen.

:( Sachin had been only constant in my life almost from the time I stated remembering things. Life has gone though many phases and good, steady, bad, very bad but Sachin's cover drives piercing through cover and mid-off were always there to cheer me. For last 2-3 years, from the time Sachin stopped playing ODI's with regularly, ODI's have also lost a lot of charm, at least for me. Watching cricket would be a different experience with Sachin gone.
