ShanS Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 End of an Era. Undoubtedly he is the best ODI batsman ever. Thanks for the entertainment and those happy memories.
Chandan Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 With Sachin retiring from ODIs, I retire from ODIs too. Interest in this format had been waning since some time but seems now there would be no interest at all. I have some tremendous memories of Sachin in coloured clothes, especially against Australians and some other special bowlers, in 90s and early 2000s. One day he'll bid adieu to test too. Wonder what'll I do then!
pindxb Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 For me it was this innings which I consider his best: revenge for the embarassment caused by Morrison's hat-trick in the previous match WfXtkwv2WS8
Tiger-Don Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 All the LEGENDS from our time are going.Lara went a long time back,Ponting retired just a few days back,Gilly,Akram,Warne,Jayasuriya,Murali,Dravid, and many more are gone and now the "little master". Doesn't matter which team you support, you can't deny or forget the numerous great moments this man has gifted the cricket world.Carrying the hopes of more than 100 crore people all the time is a HUGE burden and still he performed like this. And he was a great ambassador of cricket as he always played a clean game even after every bowler and opponent players often targeted him.It can be an example for everyone. He will be badly missed... yoda Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 2003 WC @ the Centurion, my best memory of SRT's ODI career. I am glad he was part of the WC winning team of 2011. Thanks for the memories, start enjoying your partial retirement.
Ultimate_Game Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Should have retired from Tests as well. His best odi knock IMO was 98 against Pakis in 2003 WC.
donkey Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 True cricket Icon, loved his every single inning!!!!

kalpurush Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Best of the best. A great cricketer and a great human. World cricket will miss him dearly.
Khalpat Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 With him the question "Sachin gaya ya khel raha hai" question also retires.
anotherhawkeye Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 What a career. I salute the little master. I miss the early days of his career where he was indian team. A legend.
maniac Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Hopefully this means he will try and prolong his career till the SA series, otherwise our batting will look like a club class line-up in South africa.
vamos_rafa Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 My fav ODI knock is the 117 at SCG. I have been feeling numb since I read this news. Itna dukh to logo ko break up ke baad bhi nahi hota hoga :p
Tridibans_16 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 We need a ICF tribute montage of the master :((
vvvslaxman Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Greatest year of retirement in history? So many legends.
