We are planing to have tequila at home during new year eve. As we are a bunch of occasional drinkers none of us have any clue about how to consume it. I will list my queries below and welcome any expert advise. 1. What is tequila shot and how to prepare it. 2. Can it be taken neat or need to mix it with water/cold drinks/soda. 3. I have heard tequila alone is not strong enough. To get high it should be consumed after few pegs of whiskey/vodka/rum etc. 4. What is an ideal quantity for an peg/shot ? 5. Is sequence of salt-tequila-lemon correct ? That is some of the query at the top of my head. Thanks in advance.

Dude, for a few years I lived on tequilla.. The best thing about it is that you can take it with anything from Orange juice to rasberry soda ... or with nothing. Once me and my buddy bought a small bottle and were walking to our apartment which was 15 min away form the bottle shop, it was cold so we started taking a sip every few mins and we weren't even half way home and realized that the bottle was empty so we walked back and got another half bottle and finished some of that too but were pretty wasted that night. IMHO Tequilla > Dope

Hey can u guys answer queries asked in OP also would like to know some available brands in India.
Straight up with lemon and salt which is the most famous way I preferred with Orange juice .. some people like it with tomato juice .. Like I said some like it with soda and strawberry syrup .. so in short take it with anything or without anything.

Dude, who ever told you that Tequila doesnt get you drunk is wrong. Please be careful as the shots are easy to drink and you will get drunk. dont go above 7-10 shots per head, that is the maximum.

Don't know if there are any indianised brands or Phoren Tequila brands available in India...I had Tequila 2-3 times when I was in India thanks to some friends who brought them from abroad. Tequila shots after beer is OK,but from personal experience if you do tequila shots after hard liqour, usually ends up in :puke:

Plan cancelled to avoid any nasty hangover. will stick with good old teachers. anws thanks guys
No guarantee of that...have been messed up on teachers before, Infact Old Monk Rum is frowned upon for being cheap and all but probably not as bad a hangover compared to other Indian brands
