CG Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Bengal actually won the Vijay Hazare Trophy under Ganguly last year. Having said so, Ganguly should not become coach of India. His big ego will clash with the big egos of the Indian legends, and will result in a disastrous mess. We need an unassuming, Dravid-like guy as coach. Then why remove fletcher,He is in the background.Ganguly will never be the coach as dhoni will not let it happen .He will want another bootlicker.Even ganguly was the same as captain but greg chappel turned out diff.Its hard for people to give up power.Regarding Selections and bias ganguly is no way worse or better than anybody,His comments have genrally been good about young players .

An outspoken, headline-hungry, control-freak guy like Ganguly may result in a larger mess (specially at a transition phase) than a Kirsten-like guy who does his job quietly and generally gels well with people. Ganguly's love for Yuvi and Bhajji is also a dangerous thing. What I'm worried of is the exact opposite: a honest well intended gentleman lets things go on, business as usual. Dhoni wants Jaddu as test all rounder, sure I'll work with this tailunt. Raina is our test #6, let me see how I can help him. We desperately need a tough nut who gets the foot in the door. I am hoping Dada's experience will have wisened him on excessive favoritism. He might have some ideas of himself like playing Dinda in all formats but I doubt his squad will be his favs from past as well as present.

You'll see him back 1-2 players forever but not the entire XI.

Why is it BS? I said he might 'want' them. Out of the 4 I mentioned, 3 have associations with Ganguly - Dinda was handpicked by Ganguly to play for KKR when he did not even have a contract (he was just a net bowler), Ganguly picked Shami to replace Ranadeb Bose in the Bengal team as he wanted a phhast bowler and Ravi Kant Singh has learnt his cricket in the Ganguly Cricket Academy. I said he might 'want' them, not have them in the team.
