Exactly....Too early to rate Pujara and too soon to write-off Kohli going by what he has done so far and that's my whole point.As I said Pujara has not done enough to go above Kohli in the pecking order.

all im saying here is i think puajra has better chance to do well in south africa then kohli i think kohli is good but pujara is just better at test matches and if u go for technique kohli is far from ideal and fishes ball far to much for my liking and way he played vs junaid wasnt good sight..but i guess he will bounce back... thing with pujara is he deals with things like this so easily...if it swings he just leaves ball away out side off stump ..kohli is still learning how to not get frustrated after 1 tight spell imagine philander,steyn bowling then morke coming.. there wil be times no runs will come and kohli after such passages just throws away his wicket

Ok let's not go in circles here....Have you seen Pujara play a substantial innings in conditions condusive for Pace....same goes for Kohli too? What are your thoughts? Have you seen Kohli score runs on slow and low tracks?same goes for Pujara too your answer will give you what I am talking about

Did you read my entire post? Did I deny he had a bad series? All I am saying is atleast 'I' have seen enough of Kohli to judge him as an allround player and form judgement on his strengths and weaknesses but can't say the same for Pujara. How does that automatically make Pujara better than Kohli?

well i have seen enough of pujara too and i can safely say right now he is better test match batsman.. in my mind htere is no question about it one guy plays swing well other fishes outside off if u swing it both ways one guy dealt with reverse swing well and played well on turner other guy struggled then not to mention throwing wicket away under pressure even if u say he did well in australia imo that 100 came on very easy track..plz dont make it sound like great innings he struggled for most part of tour ..just like vs england

Pujara's 200 against England was good but from what I saw in South africa,his biggest virtue was pateince which indicated he can improve but again even tailenders show grit by hanging around...need to see runs in difficult conditions....I am not writing him off but for the 100th time,too soon to rate him.

This lol. Reason why I've already written him off. He showed us he could block a few balls like the tailenders. Probably what he would do in ODI's as well. :giggle:

Ok I think I am just repeating myself here.... Now we are going in Tangent.....Kohli had a bad series,I get it...if we conclude that he is bad against good seam bowling,we always have Perth to look at....If you say he is susceptible against spin and slow tracks than we have the last Eng test to look at,there is enough data to see that there is potential. With Pujara he has only played good knocks in home conditions....Not enough data to conclude that he is better than Kohli especially at a time where our entire batting line-up has looked like sitting ducks especially overseas. I would like to conclude this by saying Kohli is a work-in-progress and so is Pujara but right now sinbce we have established what Kohli's strengths and weaknesses are,he is slightly ahead above pujara on the fact that Pujara has not played enough games. Since the topic is Kohli my question is do you think Kohli is still a good enough prospect or not?If you think yes-Let us stop right here if not then don't quiet know what you are trying to prove here because I thought you liked Kohli :giggle:

Though I personally dislike Kohli's attitude,not the player...I hope he succeeds...he seems one bright hope among the darkness. Don't rate Pujara highly yet after facing disappointment with Ashwin recently. Kohli has atleast the odd performance overseas so far in challenging conditions...so right now I must say no matter how much I try I am still on the Kohli bandwagon :((.

last test match pitch was flat where dhoni almost scored a ton so i guess he sucks vs spin ? im serious here now last track was flat enough for dhoni and bell ..dont think it counts :P so we cant really conclude he is good at home tbh

He has simply stated the truth ... that Pujara potentially looks like a better Test player than Kohli. And in a year or so, we'll all agree to that as well excepting a few chipmunks.

:facepalm: he faced some quality bowling on very tough track n played crucial role in that partnership with Laxman which was vital to win the Test as for runs,unlik Kohli who was fasttracked,Pujara has gone on A tours on these toiurs n made runs there
