Number Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Varun Sood a leggie, took 3-45 today. Got Bell, Root and Patel's wickets. His List A record is quite good in the 7-8 games he has played so far. Question is why didn't Delhi play him in their Ranji squad this season after his performance in List A games, I guess case of selection politics in the corrupt DDCA.

Aparently those on committe have registered everyone in their households and neighbours etc with delhi cricket club so they can vote. Doesn't impart too much top spin, so doesn't get much bounce though. But still already looks a better prospect than Chawla.

First he bowled against Kohli and then was called up to bowl to Dhoni who he beat a few times. As a result he was put into the first team for India A ahead of other options. Dhoni called up Mohit Sharma too, after he was initially bowling to Raina to face him. Before he was facing Pandey along with other India bowlers.
