Needforspeed Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Australia would have gained some confidence now with their batting against spin in the second innings.
kubrickian Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Australia would have gained some confidence now with their batting against spin in the second innings. That's what they think. :winky:
SLICKR392 Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 gambhir doing everything to help Aussies... follow on' date=' bowling spinners only & not bowling Dhawal/Vinny Kumar.[/quote'] What did Dhawal or Vinay do in the first innings? Good decision to follow on.
SLICKR392 Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 Match drawn? Wasn't this a 4 day game.
shuraim Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 looks like it is sure that Usman Khawaja Will play against arc rival
SLICKR392 Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 'Australia's technique found wanting' - Tiwary Manoj Tiwary sounded the first unofficial salvo of an otherwise far 'kinder, gentler' run-up to an India-Australia series in a long time when he said that a good number of Australian batsmen had been "wanting" in their technique against the India A spinners on day two of their three-day practice match at the ICL Guru Nanak College Ground in Chennai. "They haven't played the spinners as well as they could have - because I think the technique was [found] wanting," he said. Australia were tootling along at a good clip against the four India A medium pacers before spin was introduced in the 21st over. Left-arm spinner Dhurv had Ed Cowan leg before in the 23rd over and Australia lost three more wickets before stumps. Off-spinner Saxena had Phil Hughes stumped and Usman Khawaja bowled, both scoring 1. Of all the batsmen, it was only Shane Watson who looked completely in control. Tiwary said of the bulk of the Australian top order, "They were not sure of their defence to be honest. That's why they were not stretching enough to play the spin and not going back enough to play their shots." Australia are without captain Michael Clarke and opener David Warner and Tiwary was not without his assessment. "If this is the way they are going to bat, it's going to be difficult for them to be honest to face quality spinners like Bhajjupa (Harbhajan Singh) and Ashwin and Ojha. The way they are bowling, it will be very difficult for them." http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-australia-2013/content/current/story/605298.html
Needforspeed Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 The India A pacers (Gony, Kulkarni and Vinny) went totally wicketless throughout the match. I think we should go into the test with 3 spinners and 1 pace bowler (Ishant) if the pitch conditions are similar.
game_changerr Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 looks like it is sure that Usman Khawaja Will play against arc rival good ,,,show ur similar support to imran tahir....ur another unsuccessfull adopted player

Sidhoni Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 This match gives me hope..if Dhurv and Saxena can trouble them so much, Ojha and Ashwin will eat them alive!
Ankur Upadhyay Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 why did Gambhir didnot allow pacers to bowl in second innings? BTW it seems that Gony will never be a world class bowler. He has every attribute of a good pacer but still..
Ankur Upadhyay Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 who is a better allrounder among rasool ang jalaj saxena?? i havenot seen much of them.

Sidhoni Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 So it all because of GG who is just a IPL captain?
Number Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 That's why Gambhir should be India's captain.
Ankur Upadhyay Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 That's why Gambhir should be India's captain. U missed "not" with should.:--D
SLICKR392 Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 So it all because of GG who is just a IPL captain? Isn't it because of "he who should not be named's" IPL captaincy that he is till leading the Test side? :giggle:
vishalvirsingh Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Can some one state how did Gony dhawal and VK bowled .....what pace etc
