The geographic depth is used well enough by asking teams to travel between Test matches. One of the reasons why a tour to India is considered 'tough'. yes, I am of the same option that the venue should not matter. But DM, dont you think its a good idea to explore additional venues and smaller centres across the countries for tests, especially now with many good grounds coming in cities like Jaipur, Rajkot, Vishakapatnam, Ranchi, Indore, Pune and Kochi??

A fine example is Nagpur.

Sehwag's Record in Test (last 5 games) Its time to try out Rahane, he's got an average of 62 in FC and the temperament needed for Test cricket Vijay/Dhawan are prone to throwing away their wickets and I dont see them being a viable long term partner to Rahane.

Thats because these cities do not have the experience of hosting many tests. We had crowd trouble in Kolkata in early days, dont see such things these days. Plus once these centres are given tests, the security should be handed over to the local police who will also learn about handling such events with better precision.

Nagpur 2008 which saw Ganguly's last Test match hardly had any crowd. Traditional test match centres are the ones which attract crowds.
