G_B_ Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 so you can have Vijay-Dhawan Vijay-Pujara Vijay-Rahane I think this is the end of Sehwag and worryingly for Gambhir it appears he will be on the sidelines for a while. I have personally always heard rumours from my cousin who is an office bearer for the mumbai cricket association that there was a rift between Dhoni and Sehwag-Gambhir.
Lord Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 just Sehwag dropped?who replaced him? Ishant n Dinda stay:wall:

I have personally always heard rumours from my cousin who is an office bearer for the mumbai cricket association that there was a rift between Dhoni and Sehwag-Gambhir. It has nothing to do with rift. Sehwag and Gambhir were very lucky to be in the team as long as they have been despite miserable performances over 3 years.
Lord Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 I don't think Sehwag wouldn't have been communicated considering that he played the first 2 Test matches. Even Zaheer Khan after being dropped spoke to the media and told that communications have already been there. yes Sehwag knew.he changed his approach n according to some reports, had an extended net session.but it didnt work.only if he worked hard when his ass wasnt on line
Lord Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Rahane will Play ... Dhawan won't. You heard it first here. :wizard: hopefully.Dhawan is even a bigger hack than Vijay.I dont see him succeeding even on these pattas

Sehwag and Gambhir were very lucky to be in the team as long as they have been despite miserable performances over 3 years. your right with sehwag. But personally i would have brought back Gambhir. He hit 112 v aus in the warms ups and did well for Delhi in the Hazare trophy. All gambhir needed IMO was that nudge to concentrate on his game.
saneindian Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 What will Sandeep Patil do now? He has publicly stated Rahane for him is a middle order batsman. Now there are just two openers in the squad, Vijay and Dhawan, so logically Dhawan should get the last 2 tests.

carnish Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 hopefully.Dhawan is even a bigger hack than Vijay.I dont see him succeeding even on these pattas Arey, I use the wizard emoti as my jinx emoticon. Dont want Rahane to play, Dhawan even though is a hack will hopefully never get out like Rahane did against Finn. I hate to say it, but I dont ever want him to open the innings again, not even for Mumbai.

He was left out of the side to correct technical issues. With the next test series still 8 months away, lot of time to do that instead of hurriedly called back and faling again.

Sachin=GOD Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Bad decision regarding Sehwag. Considering the fact that we don't play a Test match for many months now and dropping him now may even mean the end of his Test career, he deserved to get till the end of the series.
NareshK Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Dhawan will open with Vijay. They opened for ROI in Irani trophy. That was a clue.
Raghav_12 Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Can't question dropping of Sehwag. But I just hope that we don't plan to open with Dhawan and Vijay in SA. That would effectively mean playing with 9 players.

Perhaps a bigger supporter than Sehwag's maa herself. :hysterical: I actually wanted him to do well, so he could also get back to ODI team as he is a very dangerous player in that format but he clearly looks spent force and will only hurt Indian team more. He doesnt seem like he has any confidence and he is getting out in placid conditions against seamers. The hand eye co ordination is no longer there.
