Spiderguy252 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 How many of you are tiring of playing these dingbats as well? I mean last year it was fun because there was that slight revenge element to it after the tour there, but really I'm sick of it now. Samit Patel for example has featured in each of their tours here since 2008! And year after year they export the same Dernbach-Kieswetter-Bresnan rubbish and expect different results. Sorry, but even a one test series versus the Pakis would have been better than this nonsense. EVEN IF WE LOST THAT TEST.
Spiderguy252 Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 No replies? I assume you guys are relishing these meaningless contests? Even for that category - thanks to England, we're stuck with Jadeja in the team at #7 and Rohit Sharma as opener, going into the Champions Trophy.
Serani Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 I feel the same about when we play India in tests, a real waste of time.

No just sick of your constant anti-England drivel (well i am anyway)
NareshK Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 England are rubbish in ODIs in India. No question about that. I cant imagine how any international side can lose 18 out of last 20 ODIs against India in India. That's just pathetic. They had the best chance this time because most of the Indian team looked down after that test series loss and they looked tired after continuous cricket but England still ended up losing.
Spiderguy252 Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 No just sick of your constant anti-England drivel (well i am anyway) Relax, the hate has dimmed ever since our home test series loss a few weeks ago. Appreciated Swann's and Cook's performances especially. But ODIs? Please, you guys are awful here.
Vivek.S.123 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 My England ODI XI: 1. Alastair Cook (CAPTAIN) 2. Alex Hales 3. Johnathan Trott 4. Kevin Pietersen 5. Eoin Morgan 6. Jos Buttler (WK) 7. Samit Patel 8. Stuart Broad 9. Graeme Swann 10. Steven Finn 11. James Anderson

But ODIs? Please, you guys are awful here. Yeah England have always been poor in ODI's. To be fair they haven't taken this series seriously, they have rested most of their good bowlers and Trott ahead of the NZ series. Even then, i still think India would have won this series. India are my 1st team. England my 2nd team.
The Outsider Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 No replies? I assume you guys are relishing these meaningless contests? No, just feel embarrassed to gloat over ODI wins after getting hammered in tests.
Iconoclast Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 It's either that or another 3763778638 match ODI series vs Lanka. Indian cricket fans I feel your pain ... but I still laugh at it :giggle:
Iconoclast Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Sorry, but even a one test series versus the Pakis would have been better than this nonsense. EVEN IF WE LOST THAT TEST. Not gonna happen ... BCCI guys might lose their jobs if they face another embarrassing test series lost this time to their biggest rivals.

Marut Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Why doesn't Prior get selected into their ODI team? He usually scores very fast even in test matches and has played many a valuable innings for England. Are England conserving him for tests? Or they think he will not improve in ODIs - his past ODI record is nothing great, but Prior has made big leap in batting since 2011.
Spiderguy252 Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 What are the odds on Dernbach returning for game #5?
Clarke Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 England have been # 1/2 last year in ODIs, so no, I am not exactly bored by the prospect of us hosting a top team even though they might not perform as well as a couple of others in India. This is how cricket is with the limited # of nations playing at the highest level.

Indian cricket fans I feel your pain ... but I still laugh at it :giggle: we understand ur pain of not getting to play in Pak n then getting hammered 4-0 in ur adapted homeland (UAE) or the home of ur brothers (sri lanka).. and I laugh myself silly at it :hysterical::hysterical:
Clarke Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Not gonna happen ... BCCI guys might lose their jobs if they face another embarrassing test series lost this time to their biggest rivals. You beggars think too highly of yourselves, not the first time though. Two white washes abroad and a home loss to England didn't change much other than 3 seniors being dropped temporarily and a solitary test loss to you would lead to all hell break lose. News flash: our rivalry is against Australia, although we did poorly last time. Its your board that keeps begging for games even when we were #1. We have enough teams & freelancers to tour us, you have absolutely none.

And Kamran Akmal is still in the team! :cantstop: Agree 100% with the text in bold.
