Brilliant player but couldn't get chance to play for Australia coz of Gilly & then Haddin. Ronchi & another keeper if i can remb , Ryan Campbell,were on par with Gilchrist at that time, but Gilly kept his place & these to never got opportunity.

vvvslaxman Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 What about watling or mclashen? They looked better. Even Papps who averages 51 in ODIs and had a great list A season. or they could have gone for a specialist batsman like Nicol and retained McCullum as keeper.
