KeyboardWarrior Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I just hope we don't need to rely on someone else to qualify. :asleep: LOL :hysterical:
CG Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 The last format was good.Knockout games are great.
Sandeep99 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 2003 was great! 2007 was good too..only if we had qualified! We had the best possible squad assembled! Only for Banglas to crash our dreams :(( In fact, I'd go on and say the 2007 team would just murder the 2011 team on any day..

No it would not.It had some players on last leg of their career.2007 had peak yuvi, gambhir, even tendu was playing well with zak at his best.

putrevus Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 1992 cup was worst how can Pakistan even with their semis and final wins, still end up with less wins than NZ. If in group stage round robin format is applied then there should be no semis, it should be direct finals between top two teams. Other wise we end up with a team like Pakistan who by virtue of one fluke innings and a rain out beat the best team of the competition by a mile and knocked them out. It is odi any team can have good day or lucky, round robin format does not reward team for topping the standings.
Analyst Maaz Posted September 16, 2013 Author Posted September 16, 2013 sadly the same structured as 2011 is being followed long predictable qualifying drag in the first round before the tournament enters serious mode
skindia Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 14 teams each team should play each other and the the team which wins more matches should be given a world cup..
Scarves Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 With 14 teams you need a QF for the best 4 teams from each group. Basically like the 95/96 World Cup. No way we should have a Super Six or a Super Eight, they aren't interesting.
Asim Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 14 teams each team should play each other and the the team which wins more matches should be given a world cup.. over-dose IPL viewer
Zap_Brannigan Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Most wont happen. ICC is greedy and has already sold its soul to ESPN. The formats has to be such that even if India loses all its games, its still has to be in there for 90% of the tournament.
