Well played Vijay. Other than doing well with India A tours, no better way to stake your claim back to the National side than such domestic performances. We do need an opener with the way Sehwag and Gauti have been sucking. Rahane has shown that he lacks class at international level and so the search for replacement opener is still on.

Vijay has a test 100. Also had another streaky innings in the last Irani, so these streakies are soon going to add up. If we keep writing off people as poor, what we will have left is a poorer team. :winky:

Best state side is TN ? Last time they won Ranji trophy was in 87-88. I dont even know if they won before. Best side in India is Mumbai without any competition. They won Ranji trophy 40 times.

rahane has not even played a test match how is he not international class when you dont even try him? Vijay has tried and failed. why do i get a feeling that the tamil lobby is going to push hard for vijay only for it to end in tears? Vijay had an abysmal ranji season. One hundred cant shadow that.

Patta where 4 innings were played and we won, and against an attack where only he and SRT crossed 50 in the 1st innings. :winky: We all know he was a decent player till his IPL craziness spoiled his test play. If he makes the right adjustments and gets back to his initial play, he can have a decent test career.

With a strong batting line up for Bombay and bowlers like Sreesanth and Harbhajan in the opposition the match is far from over.

Yeah right Rahane has played soooooo many Test Matches that we have already seen enough of him to make a determination about his class :wall: How ironic that a team that keeps winning the premier championship doesn't get any representation in the national team!
