NareshK Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Pankaj bowls around 135' date=' not 125 now.[/quote'] You also said Ishwar Pandey bowls 135-140 but he is another bowler whose average speed is below 130. Pankaj's speed was 125 even when he was younger and he has barely improved. Sometimes, he bowls up to 133 or 135 but on average he is much slower and a big reason why he is not picked.
NareshK Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 ^^Another thing, I'm not too picky about speeds of a bowler because there are other things which are much more important. But in Indian conditions, where there is not a lot of bounce or movement on offer, the extra pace helps especially if the bowler is inexperienced at the international level and doesnt have a lot of knowledge or experience to get batsmen out.

Old guy Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 this is reason i dont rate nayar ..look how he was closing face to ball going outside of tump away from him with angle... people like anderson will eat him alive

He said the same in interview. Plus he is 6 feet 6 inches, so impact is more.

It is the end of the season and he has played whole season, so fatigue must be taking over his body. No bowler can bowl at his best in every match. He has certainly bowled below his best in this match. Regarding Pankaj, He used to be 125-130K bowler year or two ago, but since he has worked with Mayrick Pringle on his bowling action, he has been bowling much quicker. saneindian Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 The worrying bit is about Aaron. Due to 'scheduling problems' the trip to Perth did not happen. He has been out of team for 8-9 months now and they couldn't fit in a schedule? Pathetic.
NareshK Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Pankaj's average speed is below 130. Sometimes he kicks it up to 135. In any case, he is not selected for any of the warm up games. So he is not on the radar for Aus series.

ganeshran Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Ishant having a niggle is more of a scare for aussies

Malcolm Merlyn Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 So both Aaron and Yadav to be back for AAI PEE HELL?
rkt.india Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 So both Aaron and Yadav to be back for AAI PEE HELL? Aaron is out of IPL already. DD have replaced Aaron with Siddarth Kaul for this year's IPL. Yadav will be back by third or fourth Aus test.
Cevno Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Doesn't seem like Yadav will be back and even if he does he will be totally not match fit.
