the very reason for using two new balls was to reduce reverse swing and spinners role but 14 overs the ball was doing so much.

steyn is a great but has used cricket balls that have been tampered. that will be a slight blemish

Skill is being accurate, not bowling reverse swing, similarly, pace is not a skill too. Skill is what you can develop with practice and hard work. You cannot develop skill of reverse because it needs ball in certain condition. You will get reverse if you get those conditions. No matter how hard you work, if conditions are not there, you cannot reverse.

I don't see that happening.[/quote'] Yes, most of the bowlers reverse the ball these days when it happens, especially, bowlers who can swing the ball conventionally too because they bowl the right length to get reverse. Even Ishant gets reverse due to the conditions who does not even have a great seam. Today, both Steyn and Parnell got reverse.

You can have shane warne or murali in you team but if match is played on green top what good are their skills. Steyn is great because he is accurate and pacy and has a deadly outswinger which is very handy when it reverses.

Reverse swing does not depend solely on seam like conventional swing. Ishant does not have an outswing but he still gets reverse swing. Outswinger, which depends on seam, has nothing to do with reverse. You can reverse the ball both in and out but that by shifting the shiny and rough sides.

If reverse swing was as easy as you saying just reverse the side and bowl inswinger and change around and bowl outswinger next ball every one would do it. who said Ishant is good at reverse swing, he does get it but it is not that effective.
