If that is true- its Depressing....let's see how fast he is in IPL.....but he was surely a 140 + bowler...I have seen him bowling 4 balls in 140+ in an over.......is he again bcoming a Munaf story.....does Munaf bowl 130+ today or he is below 130 always

Do not mind the speed guns used in ranji they most probably measure speed when the ball hits the pitch rather than from the hand.

naah shami was bowling at 135 kph and he was not even giving his 100%. ahmed was slower than him for sure.. And we all know shami bowls around 138 kph in International matches.. Abu Nechim's pace is down these days.

Nachim is crap. Another case of hyping a bowler who once touched 140 on dodgy speed guns. The best way to measure speed is not speed guns but how a bowler hurries batsmen.
He was certainly bowling quicker in that tournament, outbowling Malinga in pace and was highest wicket taker but then the problem with Indian pacers has always been complacency. That was a bigger tournament (read CLT20 and IPL), everyone watching, so he did put an effort to bowl quick and purposefully, but now in Deodhar trophy, he just ran in gingerly and bowling without any purpose. He never had great control, but now he did not even try to bowl quicker. In comparison, look at Kaul, every time, you see him, you feel he is running in with some purpose and putting a wholehearted effort. He has not played an IPL yet but is going to play this year. Hopefully, he does not go others' way.

I rate Kaul very highly. I've never rated Nechim after I saw him bowling. Most of his fast balls are drifters on pads which tells me he loses control when he is trying to beat speed.
Nechim always lacked control because of his round arm action. Even Kaul needs to work on his control. He falls towards left side on his delivery stride and loses control.

But Kaul does bowl fast deliveries on good spots. Yeah he loses control and I remarked on it in the Punjab match where I saw him bowling. The difference is that Nechim loses control 90% of the time on his effort ball but Kaul loses control only 20% of the times.

Perhaps the brilliant BCCI thinks that with a name like Abu Nechim he is working for the Palestine Liberation Organization, and is hence unable for selection? L Balaji, Ajit Agarkar, Irfan Pathan- now these are manly name for fast bowlers.
