G_B_ Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 and in any case Rajasthan royals are owned by British Asians. Raj Kundra and Manoj Badale are both British Asians who have made their fortunes in the UK. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manoj_Badale

FischerTal Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 those guys are parsi. While they make speak Gujarati i have yet to come across a single Parsi person who calls or identifies as Gujarati. They call themselves Iranian. Its similar to the Khoja community who also claim to be Iranian. (though most parsi people dont consider khoja to be iranian) Gujarati smaller traders are probably the brokers. But as far as overall shareholding pattern goes its marwadis like Jhunjhunwala and various other parsi trust funds who control the local side of the market. But the bulk of the control now a days comes from foreign investment funds. As far as Gujaratis go i think Ambani aside there is nobody in Mumbai who is Gujarati and is an industrialist or big. The rest all of marwadi or Parsi. yes but gujjus are big investors as a community. thats what i was trying to convey http://www.dnaindia.com/india/1537807/report-figure-it-1-out-of-every-4-gujaratis-invests-in-equity also, with the rise of adani, you have another big gujju name with ambani rising in india inc. azim premji is also gujju.
Debutant Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Did anybody notice that yesterday Ashwin was bowling with a different bowling action. Somewhat similar to Ajmal ???
velu Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Did anybody notice that yesterday Ashwin was bowling with a different bowling action. Somewhat similar to Ajmal ??? he tried chucking :cantstop:
Debutant Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 he tried chucking :cantstop: Check out the whole action. Chucking part am not sure
G_B_ Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 yes but gujjus are big investors as a community. thats what i was trying to convey http://www.dnaindia.com/india/1537807/report-figure-it-1-out-of-every-4-gujaratis-invests-in-equity also, with the rise of adani, you have another big gujju name with ambani rising in india inc. azim premji is also gujju. adani is not that big really. As of now. They probably will be in 10 years. Secondly, the headline you have posted is again misleading with regards to shareholding patterns and control. You look at the Tata empire for eg, the bulk is owned by parsi trust funds. Some 50% of TCS an various Tata companies iareowned for eg by Parsi trust funds with the rest going to the open market in India and USA were they are floated. (in case of TCS). There is little control if for eg you buy a green chip company for Rs1. Market capitalization of the stocks need to be taken into account. India as of now does not have many companies which are fully floated like say an ICICI. Bulk of the shares are not liquid as all and held by single families/clans. Hence the volume of BSE and NSE is extremely low compared to say other similar valued stock markets. Individual investors in India regardless of community has extremely low power in the Indian market. in any case i think we better leave the debate to another day. This thread is for the Susu kings and how they cheat themselves to victory once again.
bulbul Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 actually the slums of mumbai are predominantly made up of Tamil people. True fact. QUOTE] Same problem here in Bangalore also :((
velu Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 as if all the non-tamils in the city are as rich as mallya :winky:
bulbul Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Forget Mallya , most of them are not as rich as Seeni. Still slums are filled with .................
Detonator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 actually the slums of mumbai are predominantly made up of Tamil people. True fact. The lingua franca of Dharavi for eg is Tamil. once it was more than 40% but it's around 20 % now. They came there in 80's due to a drought, caste discrimination and lot of other reasons. Now the migration has stopped, but the slum population kept increasing due to Maharastra govt's poor treatment of villages. Tamils developed a lot there, some of them dominated white collar jobs, which is the reason why some leaders (u know who!!) wanted Tamils out of the city to help the struggling locals to get jobs. They poineered the usage madraasi, lungi as cuss words :giggle: Those slums also contains Marathis (highest percentage now) , Gujjus, Northies, etc., if you don't know. Becoz, people like u tend to pretend that they don't exist. We don't. Also, almost every major city in Maharastra (Pune, nagpur, etc) has huge slums, which infact Maharastra is the slum capital of India. (u might claim that tamils are also there, but it's false). Yes, Maharastra is the richest state, but a huge percentage of their people are still struggling.
Detonator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 as if all the non-tamils in the city are as rich as mallya :winky: Can't you see his(her) frustration? :hysterical: (S)he forgot the fact that Kannadiga's forgot Kannada and started speaking Tamil/Hindi. He mistakes them for Tamils. Tamils own absurd lot of properties in Bangalore, which is the one leading to their hate towards us. I don't have to mention sorry state of "rest of karnataka". That guy&girl never grow up :winky:
Detonator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 kanna**** living in slum, whining "All people around me are Tamils :giggle: :" Don't give up hope!! Your govt. will rescue you ppl one day :winky:
