Has had a good start in tests' date= did very well in ODIs in Eng, SA and Aus. He may be a good batsman, I'm not denying that. But this is IPL and there are plenty of hitters in India who can do a good job of scoring quick runs. I dont think he is a good T20 player tbh and he wont fit into any side because of 4 foreign players rule.

Chandimal had gone unsold in the 2013 IPL auction, and if a franchise had signed him as a replacement, his contract would have been worth his base auction price of $100,000. He is unlikely to have regularly been in the playing XI however, and may have collected significantly less than that amount. Training opportunities may also have been limited during the tournament. Good that he rejected, i don't think he will be ever picked again to play by any IPL team in future after this incident.

great siri Posted March 31, 2013 Author Posted March 31, 2013 we lost one waterboy :(( the fact is inspite of warming the benches he would have easily made quite a few bucks without doing anything and it would have been like a paid holiday for the youngster.and he atleast has balls to reject such a huge offer.my point here is to the indian fans who always makes fun of srilankan players income.
