indiapakistan.jpg Hello everyone, 30th March 2011... Who can forget that day.. Easily comes in top-3 days of my life... I remember waking up early at 3am( Match started at 430am in Toronto time) and driving 100kms with my best buddy to my University to watch with mates who were still studying in the unviersity... Even though I had already graduated from my university but my fbook was spammed by Pakistanis folks from university chest thumping well in advance so I was pissed off and wanted to make sure I watch it with all these guys and all my Indian buddies who have already graduated..Easily more than 100 Indian from my year who already graduated came to watch the match.. it was just EPIC. by 430am, there was no space in hall to sit... easily 600 Pakistanis and 600 Indians... and gundas of both groups stood in the front yelling narras, hooting, booing the other group.. Yours truely gunda Rahul was in the front row in the Indian contingent yelling India Zindabad, Dhood Mangoge toh Kheer denge Wcup maangoge to cheer denge :giggle:etc etc ... However we never abused the Pakistanis... Some highlights from that day There was easliy 1000+ crowd... Naturally as like India-Pakistan border, it didn't take more than 5 minutes to make a border in the university hall as well.. Half of the hall was green and half of the hall was blue. When Sachin was given out first time lbw of Ajmal, 100s of Pakistanis started yelling in sync 'Sachin ke le li ..Sachin ke le le', then Sachin asked for a review and he was given not out and all us Indians in sync started yelling 'Sachin ne tumhare le li, Sachin ne tumhare le li':hysterical: We Indians were outnumbered but the best part was we had lots of extra jerseys with us( I personaly got 5 extra jerseys to share) and anytime a gora guy wanted to join, he would choose the Indian side as we had the jersey and we would make fun of Pakistanis... there were 3 such occassions and it was hillarious when a gora guy had to choose a side and all three gora guys choose the Indian side ( because of extra shirts we had)...It was hillarous looking at faces of Pakistani supporters who tried to get them on their side.. This fat Pakistani guy starting abusing ma behen once and we shut him up like a baby yelllin in sync 'Alllooo Alllooo'.. even Pakistanis were laughing at him ..it didn't stop there as we had some hot-tempered Indians on our side..a group of Indians went out and punctured all the tyres of his car... After the match, we chased alll the Paksitani guys back to their campus rooms and roamed around the university in easily more than 30 cars with loud music of 'Rang De Basanti'... Man best moment of my life I was the first one to upload this picture on internet and I saw this pic all over the forums and some news-papers.. This picture is ABSOLUTELY EPIC and expresses the love and passion of Cricket on both sides of border.. You could see the sadness on the left side and hurrah on the right side... Can anyone take a guess where exactly (by circling) am I standing in this picture..It an easy guess... Winner will be given $1 million ICF

I bet we have a ton of friends in common Do you know Dhaval Patel? Nihar Desai?
Yeah most likely we might have lotsa common friends... I don't know these guys but if they are from UW and are into cricket, they might know me as I was selected in Indian 11 against Pakistan 11. Loll those Indo-Pak matches were classic as as they used to select best players out of 200+ players based on stats from intramurals and semester used to finish with India vs Pakistan trophy with lotsa gallis and heat
Good on you man. Love hearing these anecdotes. I watched this game in a mall here in Maryland. and it was amazing. Still can't forgot this. Never will.
Cheers
