Rahul Shukla, among pacers, has been one of the most interesting ones we have seen so far. Really quick and taking wickets too. Wicket keeper Yagnik has been superb.

But in the IPL he is not a proven commodity yet. Don't try to convert everything into a fight between 2 Indian cricketers. I like all Indian cricketers who are either performing well currently or have the potential to do so

And it is not a 'FIGHT'. It's just the misuse of the word 'best'. Rohit Sharma is a better 'IPL batsman' than Kohli.

Pujara is perhaps the best new batsman in tests, Rohit one of the better one in t20 but Kohli is reasonably successful in all 3 formats including decent success in the IPL. It is perhaps not too inappropriate to call him the best talent as per current assessment. It might change in the future though. Regarding the listed players, most have not had enough or any chances to play.

I thought your OP was IPL specific and had nothing to do with talent across formats. What does Pujara average overseas ? Why don't you bring that up while discussing his performance and talent ? Kohli has played 3 good innings in Australia. His overseas average is low mainly due to his bad performance in the West Indies in his first test series. As I said, teething problems. He averages around 58 in the last 11 tests or so. Fact is -- unless a player has played 40 or 50 tests or so, records don't give the correct picture of a player's performance and ability. Short period statistics are misleading more often than not and the manner of playing gives a better picture. That is why we are so optimistic about Pujara.
