Just curious how was the Boston police scanner streaming on Ustream that night? http://www.adweek.com/news/technology/more-24-million-people-followed-boston-manhunt-ustream-148813 Basically someone had access to the radio communication device and was uploading to Ustream?
Tune your radio to the desired frequency. Use a webcam to transmit live feed of the radio.

And you didn't hear of mandatory evacuations?
you are simply wrong. Stop! There were no mandatory evacuations. In fact, it's something the law enforcement simply can not enforce. I was physically present at hard hit areas where people were stuck in their homes because they ignored the warnings. I was also present at one of Chris Cristie's press conference where he said that a lot of people ignored the warnings despite him using all forms of communication channels possible to reach everyone.

From wiki:

Enforcing evacuation orders In the United States a person cannot be forced to evacuate under most conditions. To facilitate voluntary compliance with mandatory evacuation orders first responders and disaster management officials have used creative techniques such as asking people for the names and contact of their next of kin, writing their Social Security Numbers on their limbs and torso so that their remains can be identified,[4] and refusing to provide government services in the affected area, including emergency services.

Tsarnaev’s condition improves; brothers reportedly motivated by U.S. wars Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev informed investigators that he and his brother were not directed by a foreign terrorist organization. Instead, they were “self-radicalized” and motivated to kill, in part, by U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Washington Post reported. The 19-year-old also acknowledged his role in the attack while being questioned by investigators in his hospital bed, the report said. Tsarnaev, who has a gunshot wound to the throat and was sedated, responded in writing. He also suffered gunshot wounds in the head, neck, legs and hand during a late-night shootout in Watertown, Mass. Meanwhile, Tsarnaev's condition is improving, the FBI said on Tuesday. The college student, who had been listed in serious condition at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since his capture on Friday, is now in fair condition, the bureau said. The update comes a day after Tsarnaev was charged with two federal counts of using a weapon of mass destruction to kill, injure and cause widespread damage at the marathon. Tsarnaev was informed of the charges and read his rights in his hospital room on Monday morning, and placed in the custody the U.S. Marshal Service. If convicted, he could face the death penalty. [Related: ‘#FreeJahar’: Support for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev seen on Twitter] Three people were killed and more than 200 others wounded when two powerful homemade bombs exploded near the race’s finish line. Dzhokhar and his 26-year-old brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed by police as the two attempted to avoid capture, are suspected of planting those bombs. Tamerlan was an ardent reader of jihadist websites and extremist propaganda, U.S. officials told the Associated Press, suggesting the brothers were motivated by an anti-American, radical version of Islam. Meanwhile, U.S. investigators traveled to southern Russia on Tuesday to speak to the parents of the brothers, a U.S. Embassy official told the news service. Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, the mother of the suspects, and their father, Anzor, are in Dagestan, a predominantly Muslim province in Russia's Caucasus. After the bombings, Anzor said he believed the brothers were set up and called Dzhokhar a "true angel." Maret Tsarnaeva, the brothers' aunt, who lives in Toronto, also said she believes her nephews were framed. Family members are not the only ones expressing doubt. Many Twitter users have been expressing support for Dzhokhar using the hashtag #freejahar. And just like the conspiracy theorists who claimed last week that the Boston Marathon attacks were staged, the support for Dzhokhar has been fervent despite his reported confession. A Change.org petition to "guarantee Dzhokhar Tsarnaev the right to a fair trial," addressed to President Barack Obama, has more than 6,000 supporters. "We believe that within the chaos caused by the Boston Marathon explosion, two young men were wrongfully accused of something they did not do, and one of them has lost his life before even getting the opportunity of a proper trial," Anita Temisheva, the user who launched the petition, wrote. "We do not wish to see blood of yet another innocent victim, someone who, by U.S. law, is innocent until proven guilty. It is vital to end this persecution, as all the conflicting information shown by the media, and footage from the incident, seen by people from all corners of the world, doesn't manifest itself as enough evidence to condemn Dzhokhar Tsarnaev of this heinous crime." ..

^^ ^^ It is a very fascinating dichotomy to watch the difference in response (largely) between his blood relatives and that of his wife. His Dad, Mom, Aunt, sisters have largely dismissed this as a conspiracy in which the two men have been "framed". (The Uncle being the exception). His wife has been shocked beyond wits and her statements issued by lawyer shows she has been very distraught and atleast has not argued against the idea that her husband could have actually been a terrorist? Why this big chasm?? Is that the difference between blood relatives and the relations we make on our own? Or is there a religious angle at play here too :hmmm:

I was listening to Radio yesterday where a chechen lady was giving some insight into two brothers lives... But the interesting things that she said: - Chechen families are very close knit (like old India) - Elder brother is someone who younger ones look upto - If husband sits home and wife is earning living (as was the case for older brother), then its very shameful in Chechen community (like India)

I think thw wife knows more than their lawyer is telling. The elder one stayed with her after Monday till Thu. Can't believe her story. She's accepting it because she will be mostly charged with aiding the crime otherwise. He was 26 years, no income as such, how did they get the money to buy stuff to make bombs and also go to Russia and stay for 6 months. Somebody was providing to them. Even more fishy is how they were caught? They killed a police officer and spared the life of the driver who car their carjacked? That eventually led to their capture..

blood relatives still have a living son to think about. The lady's husband is dead, so she has lost her only connection to his family. Now she has to think about her and her daughter's future. The best way to do that would be to severe all connections with her tainted in laws. quite a logical course of action at least by the wife, isn't it?

Carjacked victim reported that they spared him only because he wasn't an American. Wife converted to Islam after marriage. There is a good chance she had been brainwashed and knew about this plan all along.

There are reports about a second carjacking' date=' they had to time to go home and reload with all weapons, or they were carrying them. Too many plot holes in this story.[/quote'] how the he!l do you carry all those explosives and multiple fire arms and walk to a 7/11 to rob a car? Things don't add up. Also, I heard somewhere that the police ran over the Older brother and blamed it on the younger one. :hmmm:

oh yea some of things which dont make sense: * why didnt they try to escape and leave the town on the day of the bombing ? * why would they try to rob a 7-11 * what was the need to car jack when they drove to 711 * Amount of weapons they moved into the stolen car * Reported that the younger one ran over his elder brother * why did the elder one get out to fire (and die) when it was possible to drive off .. * The kid was hiding in the boat so why was there so much firing Some of these can be easily explained but not all

How is it that they had so many guns and explosives in a stolen car?
One guy carjacked and then picked up the other guy later who loaded the trunk of the car with guns and explosives- the car owner actually survived the ordeal when he made a run from the car to escape even after the second guy had been picked up http://gma.yahoo.com/alleged-bombers-carjack-victim-barely-escaped-grab-161941429--abc-news-topstories.html
