sekhar Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Best thing about him is he bowls very straight and has good seam position. Certainly' date=' in conditions where he gets seam and swing, he can be handy even if he is not really quick. Though, it is yet to be seen how long he can maintain his consistency.[/quote'] The wicket taking deliveries against PWI were all around 137 km/h....pretty handy pace indeed. As he has to play a lot in chennai wicket, he concentating more on length rather than pace. I think he can bowl at 135+ consistently when situation demand, should be included in india A squad. BTW he looks like a 'philander-type' bowler. your thoughts??
rishi008 Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 He should be sent to some A tours before commenting on how good he can be......but looks promising....
saneindian Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 After a long time, one Indian bowler who can keep bowling a consistent line and length without trying too many things. Should help him a great deal in FC cricket. Can our rotten bowling coaching system ensure he continues to develop and doesn't stagnate where he is right now?
Rocky Balboa Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Where s Pankaj singh? Its sad Rajasthan Royals have not used him at all.

He is under Ian Pont and has improved since his debut.
saneindian Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 He is under Ian Pont and has improved since his debut. Once he gets into the mainstream full time, not sure how much time Pont will spend with him. Lets hope he doesn't stagnate like a few others Mithun etc.
FischerTal Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 his line and length is immaculate. best out of any bowler since Zak and dare i say even better. its consistency which is important. ranji record proves that he has capability to play long spells, but test cricket is a whole nother playground. he should be picked for India A tour definitely
saneindian Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Where s Pankaj singh? Its sad Rajasthan Royals have not used him at all. Safe to say he's missed the bus now. The likes of Dhawal, Mohit, Ishwar Pander will be ahead of him for A side spots.

He has one of the best bowling action which I have seen recently in young Indian fast bowlers. If he stays with it, I think he should be good.
