If they really needed workers, they would have opened their doors and the current rhetoric at least from Europe is in the opposite direction. China is a different discussion but at the end of the day, labor shortage is far less an evil than overpopulation. 3% of working Indians pay income tax :asleep: With aging population there is always going to be demand for low cost menial workers, like farm labour, nurse etc. UK faces severs shortage of Nurses .Unemployment does not mean that there are no menial jobs . It means that people are unable to find employment in sectors in which they were working or interested to work

Single parents are exempt, working couple should pay double :roti: Govt take VAT and now also impose 10-12% service tax on almost all type of services.Indirect taxes are hard to evade and almost everybody pays them

If this sh.t is not stopped now, the Indian subcontinent might just sink into the Indian ocean with all the over population. I can only imagine what real estate prices will be in a few years from now. Think Indian real estate is still a great buy today even at these inflated prices.

The population is not concentrated on "useless barren land" but in metropolitan centers due to lack of opportunities. In the current state, population growth is an issue which is not difficult to calculate why really.

This is crazy, already UP's population is bigger than Brazil's (200 million). And Bihar's is approaching 100 million. And both states already have incredibly high population densities compared to other states, and it will only get worse with such high fertility rates. The government (central and state) really need to look into containing this huge population growth.

So for example, in meghalaya every couple/woman has 3.5 children on an average. The national average is 2 children. so yeah, in a sense, if every couple has one child or if the average is less than two children, logically the population in the state is headed for a slight decline down the line
