Sreesanth's father blames Harbhajan, Dhoni for framing his son

Father of Rajasthan Royals' fast bowler S Sreesanth has pointed finger at India captain MS Dhoni and offspinner Harbhajan Singh for having plotted his son's arrest in the spot-fixing scandal that was unearthed by Delhi Police earlier on Thursday. Sreesanth, along with his two Rajasthan team-mates Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila, has been arrested on charges of spot-fixing in the ongoing edition of IPL 6 and have been suspended by the BCCI from taking any further part in the tournament pending inquiry. Sreesanth's father alleged on Malayala Manorama news channel that he was trapped due to a joint conspiracy by Dhoni and Harbhajan. "They are trying to ruin my son. From the beginning he and Dhoni have been close and knew many intimate details. Dhoni is trying to take revenge against him for this. My son has played well for India. They are trying to end his career," his father said, without explicitly saying what it had to do with this case. "Dhoni had threatened him that he would never be taken back in the Test side." he added. Other members of Sreesanth's family also came out his defence, saying that he was innocent and might have been deliberately framed. "He has a very trusting nature. He might have been duped," said Sreesanth's mother. "He was arrested without any warning. We feel that he may have been framed. He has always been against match-fixing." said Sreesanth's brother-in-law.

Being 27 is not really an issue. Stuart Binny is a contender at the same age. Chavan was a handy batsman and a good fielder as well.

I just dont think he would have made the Indian side. Rahane Rohit Kulkarni, most people knew or know that they would feature in Indian cricket in the next decade. Of the last gen people expected Nayar Agarkar to make the grade. I have not come across anybody who expected ankit to play for India

ok if 3 balls would not have gone for runs he could have bowled absolute lollipops... like short half trackers? u can give away runs in t20 they will go for such balls in any over..

still that arent guarantee.depends on batsmen only way they could hv ensured is by bowling wides and no balls and they didnt do that

They might have bowled no-balls and wides if runs were not scored till last ball. As I said, there is no guarantee of anything in life, this is just another investment. The fact that we have proof that it worked in all 3 overs, is something, isn't it?

Just pay the batsmen to " Tuk Tuk " the whole over and keep the number of runs scored under 6 , wherein the quality of bowling wont matter. Dealing with bowlers is risky. There is no guarantee that the batsmen would be willing to score over 10 runs even if the quality of bowling was poor. A wicket could fall anytime and the deal would fail.

You need to understand that it's always a gamble. But it might happen 5 times out of 8, and still you are in the green.

well he hardly had a good ipl? his numbers are poor. atleast with binny he is having a good ipl. Based on that logic dude anybody under 30 in first class cricket can play for India
