jalebi_bhai
Nobody is supporting him. Some people are talking as if he is arrested because of spot fixing. There is nothing to suggest that. He is arrested because of betting according to reports so far. Its wrong to pass mis-information. Totally brah.......Guru was only betting brah.......Betting is innocuous brah.....It is illegal in India brah.....but still, innocuous brah.......it has never led to match-fixing brah.....IPL is clean brah.....As clean as a whistle brah......Srini is as innocent as little red riding hood brah......The police are corrupt brah.....they should be behind bars brah.....BCCI are the harbingers of justice brah...... kubrickian
Placing bets during match? Why? Why would he take that risk when he can place bets anytime before a match? Why will he wait till last minute? Why would he take the risk during a match? And if players were involved, I want their names to come out, no matter who they are. Depending on match situations, a bookie can place bets on certain things happening during a game like number of runs a batsman may score, number of runs a bowler may give away etc. This cant be done before a match. G_B_
The investigation should go on and if they find anybody who is guilty' date=' punish them. But dont pronounce judgement while you are sitting in your home and not having a clue.[/quote'] point is there is enough evidence to arrest him. So what happens if the ipl finals are played and we fine out he was trying to buy the opposition sides in CSK wins? Do CSK retain the title? If he would not have been arrested it was maybe ok. This guy evaded the police and came with lawyers. That should tell you all you need to know. Speaking of CSK, the picture is emerging that this dude is a compulsive gambler who lost a lot of money in many things. You make such a guy CEO? One thing about MI, is that the management are not Ambanis. They are salaried MBA's running the show. All profits from MI go to the Ambani charity. Now Ambani is super rich and wont many much money (relative) from better. Its extremely poor judgement by Srini. I doubt Srini ever needed the money and nor did his Son in Law who is rich in his own right
kubrickian
I always wondered how IPL will die.. Good job Meiyappan in speeding up the process :hatsoff: As long as there is demand, there will be supply. You should be naive to think IPL will close down when most stadiums have been full even for 75 games and tv viewership has also been increasing. There's lot of money to be made from IPL for BCCI. Why would they let it go ?
vvvslaxman
Modi 2.0 will clean up the league :om: And it will be back to awesome again :beee: This is a league where fixers have access to some low class club players who may never play for India. So they will continue wooing them with women and wealth. These guys will continue falling for it.

So they will continue wooing them with women and wealth. These guys will continue falling for it. But if strict punishment is given to fixers, it will act as a deterrent. For a few spot fixers, there are hundreds of other cricketers who are also honest and clean. You cant deny them opportunity to play and earn livelihood just because a few others may get involved in corruption. You have to clean the system, not destroy it.
