Why did Lalit Modi release all passes of Srini's family a couple of days before Vindoo was arrested :nervous:
he's been jumping up and down since the day Sreesanth was arrested. Every pice of news/photo/video he has about Srini, he is putting in twitter.
May be there is renewed agreement between pawar and Modi. He may be allowed to come back to india after sreeni leave.
no ways. He cannot come to India because he will be arrested - even Pawar cannot do much about it.

if true now that changes everything.......for the worse. This will get extremely ugly if CSK team with many team India regulars are involved.
It will indeed. Will be extremely interesting to see what comes out of this investigation. Wonder if a few very big Indian stars are ever so slightly nervous, just now...

the news i read, he was directly involved or in contact with the bookies and they had his number on their cells etc and even his name and that he was a middle man to even many bollywood celebrities who placed bets on all teams in the IPL. His cut was apparently 10% or something. Saha was dropped in the aftermath of Mooli making the champions trophy squad which probably would have got you much higher odds). Only a matter of time after that when Mooli came back. Now dont get me wrong, if Mayappan is found guilty, CSK IMO should face severe punishment. Betting on your team is illegal in the IPL. Betting in India is illegal. But i think he just was/in an addictive gambler. I dont think he tried to tamper with the play. I read somewhere that Mayappan bet on a lot of other things as well from EPL to Euro 2012 matches and also lost money there. The man appears to be an addict.
Yaar, feck the news. Use your common sense - you know the team hours before, you have access to the betting market anonymously, what will any sane person do? This is not a case of gambling addiction but about making quick bucks. Millions of dollars earned by lifting your cell phone is a huge incentive for anyone - we don't even know how much of this idiot's wealth is actually accessible to him.

On another note, all team managers and even owners could have information about their teams in leagues like NHL, NBA, EPL etc. in western countries and they could bet based on this info. Why is that not a big deal ? I understand betting is illegal but still does this warrant such a big furor ? Isnt this perfectly legal in western countries ?
We are talking about India, where betting on cricket is considered a criminal act. It is damaging to the IPL's image and as per the IPL constitution, makes CSK liable for termination. If it wasn't such a big thing.....why do you think CSK went to great lengths to disown Guru? Take off your yellow-tinted glasses and smell the coffee for once.

He is not a CSK supporter, he is just writing truth :two_thumbs_up:

Wow! The head continues to be buried in the sand. According to the guy's interview he had access to team sheets 2 hours before the match and an influence in deciding the playing XI. While betting he would ignore that information. :facepalm:
changed ur username?:haha::haha::haha::haha:

From Subramanya Swamy status in Facebook "PM should investigate IPL and terror financing. Srinivasan should not resign -- Dr. Subramanian Swamy In the interest of national security I urge Mr. N. Srinivasan not to resign from the President of the BCCI, or accede to the chorus for his quitting in the wake of prima facie evidence that his son-in-law Mr. Meiyappan was engaged in betting on IPL match outcomes for which he has now been arrested for custodial interrogation. Srinivasan need not pay attention to media double standard of demanding his resignation but not of Ms. Sonia Gandhi for the same reason. The demand for Mr. Srinivasan’s resignation is being orchestrated from Mumbai by the underworld whose operational headquarters is in Dubai. Many of the Indian politicians and businessmaen who are baying for Srinivasan’s scalp are frequent visitors to Dubai and have travelled frequently to that city on the private plane of Shahid Balwas, who is a charged accused in the 2G Spectrum Scam trial. Mr. Balwas connection to Dubai gangsters is well known. In the past the IPL has been used indirectly for terrorist financing and compromising key politicians on honey traps with imported call-girls to compromise India’s national security. With Mr. Srinivasan’s taking over the President’s post, not only the cricket capital shifted to Chennai, and thus logistically severed from Dubai, but also the Chennai team trounced the Mumbai cricket supremacy. It is therefore ludicrous to see the Sahara Chief demanding Srinivasan’s resignation, considering he himself is on the way to jail. I urge Srinivasan not to resign hence, following Ms. Sonia Gandhi’s example of not resigning for the Himalayan fraud committed by her son-in-law Robert Vadra [now ordinarily resident in Dubai], but urge him to hold a press conference and expose the dangerous national security risk of Dubai-Mumbai nexus in seeking control of the IPL cash flow and ultimately undermine cricket. I also demand that the Prime Minster direct the setting of a Commission of Inquiry under a sitting judge of the Supreme Court to go into this sinister nexus of foreign terrorist patrons, corrupt Indian politicians and businesspersons, and IPL."

:facepalm:....rather than setting a precedent......he is proposing a tit for tat policy......this regional non-sense is what will always hold us back as a nation......thought Dr. Swamy was more sensible than this.....
