vvvslaxman Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Then they have right to comment about his silence. By all means. Don't think Dhoni cares about what they comment about his silence.
bulbul Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 By all means. Don't think Dhoni cares about what they comment about his silence. If Dhoni doesn't cae then why should people care about what Dhoni says when it suits to him, this is where the respect part comes in.

I just say his reaction was the right one. I never have respect for our media. I don't mind them going after guys who were actually guilty. Even Sreesanth had few sympathizers saying "Trial by media".

No reason to show sympathy to Dhoni just because you don't like them.
South_Paw Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 The situation has not gone too worse for Dhoni to rebel against his employer to answer the stupid media's questions that don't have any connection to CT.

asterix Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Why to do a fixed press conference then? When they can cancel press conference before the IPL finals then why now? You expect media to only ask questions which suites you? Why waste everybody's time? Why not release a press note detailing about CT and feck off? If don't want media focus then don't use media to make tons of money...you cannot have both ways... Hope the media boycotts these feckers from next time... They only do press conferences because they want to show some legitimacy and use media to carry their one sided point of views... What was the need for Srini to have that sham media conference himself. If media is hounding him then don't go to it... Simples...

ravishingravi Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Contractual obligations to the ICC. So does that contract allow actual censoring / gagging / bullying of the team captain by his press manager. I don't have terms of contract but surely they could have just brought the coach and got it done with.

Just now RKT posted a thread where Seeni says there is no gag order , looks like Dhoni himself kept mum :hmmm:
vvvslaxman Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 In a press which was meant for CT, if you are asking about circus controversies this is what happens lol. Wish he had shown finger to them.
bulbul Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 In a press which was meant for CT' date=' if you are asking about circus controversies this is what happens lol. Wish he had shown finger to them.[/quote'] What media will do if Dhoni run away from press conference of circus.
ravishingravi Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Just now RKT posted a thread where Seeni says there is no gag order ' date=' looks like Dhoni himself kept mum :hmmm:[/quote'] Truth is Dhoni himself has been embarrassed in this controversy. To that extent, I can understand his silence.

I don't have terms of contract but surely they could have just brought the coach and got it done with. Look Sir, It is "mandatory" for the captain to hold a press conference for ICC events. In this case, the press conference was for media sponsors etc. Dhoni will once again have to attend a press conference once he touch bases England according to ICC media sponsorship rules. Next, of course BCCI can choose to gag it's employees from speaking to the press. Quite surprised that you think otherwise. It has done in the past against stalwarts like Tendulkar, Dravid etc. and it will continue doing it. Now if and whether this is right or wrong is up for discussion.

Sidhoni Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Now even Sachin remains silent on this issue. But of course he can't do any wrong.
