bulbul Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 And so is Tendulkar from the same cricketing association which Sharad Pawar was a head of. Your point? Betting/fixing scam started in this year's IPL ie IPL6 [2013]. Players involved are from RR & CSK [as of now] RR team management & Captain gave some comments to Media [people] Media [people] expect same from CSK. I think i made it clear. Sachin giving comment as a legend is completely different from Dhoni giving as a Captain of team , whose CEO is in police custody.

FYI - Dhoni has a small matter of Champions Trophy to play and concentrate on the tournament. I'm sure the spicy press conference can wait in lieu of the on field events. Tendulkar also waited for the IPL to get over before making any comments. FYI - Player(s) involved were also from Mumbai Ranji team (Ankeet Chavan).

England played a Test against Pakistan even after No ball scandal broke out. Ankit Chavan is not Sachin's IPL team mate. if you apply this rule Dhoni was captain of Sree.

CG Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Sachin Faced the media ,The question was asked and he replied.Thats all people wanted of Dhoni. We are talking about a captain who did not have problems in Putting down sreesanth in SA In Middle of test series when he just bowled India to victory .A Captain who Paraded The whole Team In a press conference to deny a rift with sehwag in middle of world T20.

saket123 Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 If that is all Sachin has said..... not exactly deserving of words like "breaks his silence... speaks about IPL scam" etc... nothing to see here... move along folks...

Media will tail spin out of Dhoni's comments and create a controversy. Dhoni may not be affected but as a captain he has a team to look after. Many captains have done this in the past in different ways - Graeme Smith vs Australian media 2006. You have already applied the rule to Dhoni already. You mean to say there is no possibility of Ankeet Chavan being involved in fixing in the Ranji Trophy? Good luck!
South_Paw Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 If that is all Sachin has said..... not exactly deserving of words like "breaks his silence... speaks about IPL scam" etc... nothing to see here... move along folks... Exactly.. that guy was climbing some stairs and these people were thrusting mic into his mouth. what would he say other than a generic comment like this? Even these mornic channels were saying PM has given his words againts the scandal. All he mentioned was he doesn't like politics being mixed with sports.

Sachin=GOD Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 so, he makes a small statement and all BCCI office bearers set to resign...
bulbul Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 so' date=' he makes a small statement and all BCCI office bearers set to resign...[/quote'] :agree:
vvvslaxman Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 so' date=' he makes a small statement and all BCCI office bearers set to resign...[/quote'] He should talk to mirror i suppose.. :cantstop:
Crookbond Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I took a dump around the same time - I think that was the cause.
Raghav_12 Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Dhoni continues to symbolize CSK whose CEO is in jail. He doesn't even an opinion when team owner has been found to be involved in scam. He is just paying back to Srinivasan who had also gone out of the way to save his captaincy. It is a relationship where you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. Kudos to Sachin for opening up. May sound small but coming from a legend like him carries impact.
StriKe Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 He should talk to mirror i suppose.. :cantstop: :cantstop:
zep1706 Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Credit to him for speaking up. But there is nothing to glorify here. He didn't say anything that could be highly significant.
