Should Dinesh Karthik replace Vijay or Rohit?

Or what about playing 7 batsman. It's a given thing that our bowling will struggle, might just boost our batting. (Like WC 2011 strategy). And the part timers (Raina, Virat, Sharma) can do some job in the bowling.

And for starters, why only Viay or Rohit? What exactly has Dhawan done to not be put into that list? Dhawan's place itself is not of certainty and he is very much getting overrated here.

Stick with Rohit as an opener with Dhawan, Kohli 3, DK at number 4, Dhoni at 5 and Raina at 6 to start with. Vijay may go on to do well if picked but he should have not been picked for the ODIs right now having worked so hard to sort out his test batting

And thats why not selecting Yuvraj Singh was such a blunder. You could get 7 proper batsman and 5 bowlers with him in the side.

Both you should get a :bumsmack:
its not that i want him to fail dude. A heart warming story on and off the field. He has done well in all domestics and even emerging player tournaments for the past 2-3 years. Its just intuition. Cant say anything else about it. I hope i am proven wrong by Dhawan. When Kohli and Pujara first arrived i sort of knew that would make it. Then again i felt the same about Rohit and look how that turned out.

i feel the opposite. he was unlucky in this match. the problem with dhawan is that i dont know how his defense will be against swing bowling. he always looks to be in a rush. however, i feel that he is one of those players who if he finds rhythm once, he can demolish any bowling in the world. thats why he should be persisted with.

Rubbish. That defense can be applied to every other player, so why just Dhawan? As stated earlier, why only Vijay, Rohit in this thread? What about Dhawan?

How many matches has rohit played? would you care to tell people here? i have no problem with vijay. he should be given opportunity and decision should be taken after analyzing his performance

Huh? That only adds more weight to what I said. Earlier, you stated that Dhawan should be persisted as when in flow, he is destructive. But that can be applied to every other player including Rohit. You can support anybody but at least the reasons has be logically.

i said dhawan should be persisted with till he finds his flow/form not when in flow. learn to comprehend english first. 80+ ODIs with a 30 average is not persisting. it is sheer stupidity. you really have a problem with stats dont you?

You still don't get it, do you? My issue is not about persisting or not with Rohit. The issue is on the weak argument you offered. You cannot simply say that we should play a player because when on form, he is destructive. If so,then it should be implied to every player including Rohit. Once again, Rohit is not the issue, it is rather your weak argument. Either you elaborate on that reasons or admit you were wrong. And given on your huge post count in limited time, you are obsessed here, so take some time off.

you seriously cant comprehend an argument. i gave you the stats to show rohit has never been in form and 80 ODIs is more than enough to analyze what a batsman has to offer. as usual, you cant come up with an answer and attack the person you are arguing with. and seriously, i think you are obsessed with spouting illogical BS whenever you come on this forum. you cant deny arguments, therefore you try to make the other person look stupid and fail to achieve that. really sad. go get some psychological help. you need it

[/quote'] You say you are 21, then at least start acting like a 21 year old man. You didn't even read what I wrote. The stats of Rohit is irrelevant and not what is the focus between our discussion. How hard is it for you to understand that? Read back your posts here and at then you should at least admit that you were wrong.

:giggle: of course stats are irrelevant for you. in cricket stats should never be used to analyze a player now should they? Someone's opinion should be the gospel. SachinLara in the making here :hehe: i dont know how old you are, but it is evident your KG teacher passed you after rishwat was given.

DK won't open' date=' Dhoni treats him as a specialist middle order batsman. He should replace Rohit in the middle order[/quote'] and thats what i have been arguing for the past 6-7 posts with this dude. he still doesnt get it.

Lol, you certainly don't give up. You are constantly trying to change the issue and divert the attention. When our discussion isn't about Rohit, then you brought in those stats. I don't care about those now, they may or may not may be correct. That's a whole different matter. The matter which was to discuss was on your poor argument that Dhawan should stay as when on flow, he is super destructive. That's what was the issue and reading your replies on it, clearly you have backtracked on it and are now just trying to divert from that. You need to admit that and at least learn to accept it.
