G_B_ Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Mike Haysman @HazeCricket 1m Dhoni was promptly asked about his bowling combination ... and replied with a smile ... "that is top secret"! Details Mike Haysman @HazeCricket 6m Dhoni said at presser today they will definitely play 5 bowlers. Said new laws with 4 outside circle means u can't risk using part timers. so the question remains. does Jaddu consider to be a frontline bowler or is it an indication of Crapthan
I6MTW Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Pathan will not be considered considering how slow he has become and how useless he is when conditions aren't useful. Jadeja would be the 5th bowler and either a top or middle order batsmen.
Crookbond Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 The new ODI rules mean that you HAVE to play with 5 bowlers. Jadeja has done well on wickets which suit his style. Just checking the weather and Cardiff is a bright sunny day.
Crookbond Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 what chances of mishra playing? Directly proportional to the percentage of runs scored by Rohit Sharma in the warm up games.
RedFever Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Pathan will not be considered considering how slow he has become and how useless he is when conditions aren't useful. Jadeja would be the 5th bowler and either a top or middle order batsmen. he is the 1st bowler selected in the team
Jersey #10 Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 1. Sir 2. Umesh 3. Bhuvi 4. Ashwin 5. Ishant It's not too hard to guess For batting 1. Dhawan 2. Rohit 3. Virat 4. Karthik 5. Mahi 6. Raina Nohit has to open or get out of the team. He has lost his spot in the middle order to Karthik.
Ibes Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Dhoni might just be thinking that given the form Rohit and Vijay are in, it would be wiser to drop both. High risk move though.
yoda Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Per Dhoni, Jaddu gives him sooooo many options with team balance etc, only if Sir is linked to spot fixing will he not be in the playing XI.
saneindian Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I still see Kohli and Raina bowling despite there being 5 bowlers in the side.
Sidhoni Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I still see Kohli and Raina bowling despite there being 5 bowlers in the side. They will have to bowl if any of those bowlers is expensive. With Ishant in the side, they should be ready to bowl anytime :giggle:
gaurav92 Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I still see Kohli and Raina bowling despite there being 5 bowlers in the side. Very true :hysterical:
Rocky Balboa Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 5 bowlers is the way to go against pakis as well. They always target uv or Kohli whenever they are used as 5th bowler.

Hopefully not

Rather bowl them at a time when batsman are new to the crease rather than when they are well set.
tweaker Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Bhuvaneshwar Kumar Umesh Yadav Ishant Sharma R Ashwin Amit Mishra Ravindra Jadeja
Detonator Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 5 batsmen, 1 Allrounder and 5 bowlers will be the best combination..
