The ball came a touch slower as McLaren rolled his fingers leading to an inside edge. Suresh Raina DOES have problem with the short ball. This wasn't one of those exhibitions. That is the problem. He knows that bowler know that he can't play short ball. So he tends to stay back in crease expecting a short ball which induces wrong shots from him.

His balance is terrible when he plays anything short of length. Hasn't been able to solve that problem.

forget about the dismissal. His innings in general was soo jittery. Bowlers me thinks have decided to simply bowl an odd short ball to mess with him and then bowl normally. he is always on the back foot as his mind is messed up

why thankyou. I was actually watching England v India in 2011 in September. England kept bowling short and Raina kept picking it up as it was predictable. If i was a coach i would tell my pacer to bowl it normally and throw in an odd short ball first/second up. In this champions trophy the pitches maybe flat but there is bounce in them. Now i would rather have Raina than Vijay in the side and he is a handy bowler to have considering our pacers are expensive. So cant see him being dropped for the champions trophy.
