Hindi marathi or chinese just does not come into it. Just saying. I got pissed because i am sick of people called Maharashtra Maharastra. I am pretty good with languages in general and use Hindi 80% of the time while speaking. My Hindi accent is very shuddh (like those guys on TV) and my younger brother and I converse in Hindi. And can speak Hindi with a killer Bihari accent too when required. Of course, this is a result of being born and brought up in Ranchi. On the other hand, my Malayalam sucks, my parents think i am a disgrace to Kerala. So the Northie-Southie thing doesn't come with regards to me. Except for my brith, I am a northie in everything else. Plus my own, actual name is pretty unique (Never met or heard of anyone having the same name). The second letter is an H which is not actually pronounced while saying the name but it has to be included while writing. And since I am used to people missing out the H and I needing to keep on pointing it out, believe me I will be the last person doing this intentionally or be ignorant about it, when dealing with other people's name
