Asim Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 This time its more an issue with cricket board, chairman & selectors etc. Unless we dont get somewhat genuine and deserving people to hold these positions, should not expect much from team. I am not saying we previously had angels sitting there but at least there were some respect for merit in selection committees etc but in Zardari tenure PCB got ruined like every other major organization in country, few days ago I posted a video here explaining how chairman PCB recently got re-"ELECTED"... I am not a fan of Afridi, neither I want him back in the team but yesterday it came out that he got dropped from the team just because he rejected the chairman order to join "PPP" just before elections... Imran Farhat got 3,4 years of extended career and unlimited chances just because of his father-in-law positions and links in cricket board, even selectors don't have a justification why Malik is there in the squad... Having such situation within board; would be unfair to expect wonders from team n players, they just did what they were capable of... Hope new PM takes a serious look into this, though he got 10s of other even bigger and serious issue to deal with...

Strike rotation problem is only against spinners so batting as opener he should be ok.

He will learn his skills of strike rotation if given enough chances ... Plus the major factor will be he will be holding one end and stopping the flow of wickets.

Look at England. Pakistan has a good bowling line up and can do good with 250 type scores in each game rather than ending up with 150 in 4 out of 5 games.
