hassan_113 Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 I asked him if he'd seen the film thing. First he wasnt sure then he said yes- the one with him and Shikhar and ms. He said "whoaaa" when he first saw me. I said "aesay daalo Jaddu aesay daalo!" This made him nod and khan a huge grin on his face! :D
hassan_113 Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 Come on bud, you gotta change sides. You are too reasonable to be a Pak fan :two_thumbs_up: On the plus side you can borrow my siggy and call yourself "World Champions" and "Champions of Champions" :yay: I just go with my heart. I've been along a journey seeing these guys. It's been a pleasure to see them so regularly. Their attitude is spot on. Very good team ethic.
hassan_113 Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 I would like to thank everybody for the encouragement in this thread. Given the history of the 2 nations, I would like to think I've broken unprecedented barriers. I know of nobody else who now supports both Pakistan and India very passionately. In a head to head game will plump for Pakistan but India for all their games bar Pakistan. The Indian attitude has been refreshing and they've been a great credit to the nation. Well done India!

Would be an interesting read from a layman/fan's perspective.
hassan_113 Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 I will do. I am training in psychiatry so that's something I naturally do. They all used to go out in groups and look very happy. They always seemed to be happy to acknowledge people. When I caught a lift with Dhawan and Rohit the first day they came, they were really nice. I had the feeling that they work hard and play hard and that they're extremely highly motivated. They're professional and really seemed to ride off the support they received. Their behaviour and the way they carry themselves with confidence and (with the odd exception!!) non-arrogance means that they recognise their status as role models. They seemed to have a lot of pride for their nation as shown by Dhawan just walking into my picture and holding the flag. I think that their attitude reflects where India is in the world. There's a real feel good factor amongst the country and the younger people believe in themselves and believe that anything is possible. It really is magnificent.
