They pulled away in the 90's when England fell apart and they dominated. That head to head will come back more even. The head2head were 'even' because England dominated Australia from 1880s to 1920s, when bradman came around. Since 1929, Aussies have been better than you English.

You are the second most successful test nation on the basis of dominating the game for 50 years while nobody else was competetive. Take those years of 'inventors advantage' out and you are not the second most successful team. Countries who specialize at multiple sports and are still hell of a lot better than you English mediocre sportsmen are plenty: USA, Canada,Japan, France, Germany, Russia, China, Australia, Sweden, Austria, Spain, Italy. You guys are the runts of the western world in sports because British mentality towards sports is mediocre, flawed and laughable. You guys can design sports well but lack the intellect or the physical gumption to play them to the fullest extent. Your medals are not really English- they are poached from other nations' talent due to favourable immigration laws. Even with stealing other nations developments and talents, you guys are still near the bottom of the western world's barrel for competetive sports.

The same reason we may skip work for a day or two but dont just go AWOL for a week.

Man don't get onto us about sport when you're Indian. You guys have a Billion people and struggle to win one gold at each Olympics.:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: About 85-90% of those golds won by Brit athletes were English. Spain are full of drugged up athletes, Austria and Sweden are only better at Winter sports and so they should be. We get about a weeks snow over here if we're lucky. Germany is only better at football and handball. America is better and they should be. They have 6 times our population. Russia, France. Russia is better at Ice hockey and that's it. France we regulary own at rugby. In terms of boxing we own all these countries accept America and Mexico stand up well. Canada is useless apart Ice hockey and curling, once again sports that we have no interest in. China is rubbish at all the major sports. I don't care about table tennis or archery.

We dont care about Olympics. We care about being engineers and doctors- which is where *we* dominate. Neither do we have the funds or infrastructure to compete in the Olympics. You guys do, yet you guys are epic fails in that regard, 2012 London fixing not withstanding. Germans are better at soccer, have been for 40+ years and along with the Aussies, beat the pants off of you Brits in Olympics. So are the Americans, Russians, Chinese.
