Crookbond Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 why?wasnt he one who started all this homework thing? If you treat players as school kids, expect nothing better.I dont think results were the only reason for his sacking Clarke should hv gone too yes agree No, it was Arthur + Clarke. Also to note, Clarke is an obnoxious slime ball. That guy has the guts to leave a young team (when he's injured) on personal time and then come back to give moral lectures on how Warner should've behaved. Clark's many times more autocratic than Arthur. Mickey is never a whip cracking kind of person; never was and never will be.
Crookbond Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Just in case, I hope people didn't miss this part of the news as well. It has also been reported that the captain Michael Clarke will relinquish his role as a selector as part of the change in structure that will be announced by Sutherland and Howard. Whether Lehmann would remain a selector is unclear.
Square Drive Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Good decision :yess: with Lehman aussies will become invisible again.
Straight Drive Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Not at all surprised that Arthur was sacked.
Lord Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Good decision :yess: with Lehman aussies will become invisible again. yeah invisible:giggle:

StriKe Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Cricket Australia @CricketAus 3m CA CEO James Sutherland and Executive GM Team Performance Pat Howard are about to address the media. Live coverage: http://cricketa.us/10fswPf
carnish Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Arthur for me was never the problem in that set up. It was Clarke all the way from the start. All seniors had a problem with him and his attitude. Arthur was just made a scapegoat because they couldn't scrap the best batsman in their team.
FischerTal Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 :hysterical: CA beginning to look like PCB. All thats required is for Lala jaan type player to make a comeback numerous times and there will be no difference between the two boards
King Tendulkar Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 1 Arthur sacked 2 Lehman has replaced him 3 Clarke has requested to step down as a selctor for the team
StriKe Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 fwildecricket @fwildecricket 8m Darren Lehmann will be contracted until June 2015. #EngvAus

In that aspect, I am sorry for him.
Sachin=GOD Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Adam Mountford @tmsproducer From purely personal perspective Mickey Arthur is one of the most decent blokes you meet on the circuit. Really impressive to front up today
SLICKR392 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Good decision :yess: with Lehman aussies will become invisible again. yeah invisible:giggle: :cantstop: Not a lot would change by sacking Arthur.
cowboysfan Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 lehmann was banned for racist comments does anybody remember this incident?
Ultimate_Game Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 same could be said about Duncan Fletcher. In the aftermath of 4-0 by Aus and 2-1 at home to England i am sure he would have been axed by most major test playing nations. He could and should have been but Fletcher didn't add to the mess with homework-gate or the way Hesson botched the Taylor captaincy issue.
