He averages 54 in England, he averaged 60+ in England before Dravid came along, ie, Tendy averaged 60+ in England being practically an opener, as India's average score when Tendy came in to bat in England prior to Dravid was 20/2. Tendy is way better than Cook, who is a plodder.

No, if he can average 54 in England playing England, he can surely average 65+ playing Sri Lanka, New Zealand, India, Bangladesh, West Indies in England. That is all but 3 teams, namely, Aussie, Paki and Saffie, against whom he may've averaged less. Therefore, he quite easily would've averaged 50+ playing in England for England and would've had 20,000 test runs by now, as India played much less TC in the 90s than England. He averages 55 in OZ & 45 in Saffieland. Therefore, his lowest average playing for England in England would've been against South Africa at 45 or thereabouts. Besides, Tendy has played more tests on raging turners in his career than Cook has played on seaming wickets. There is nothing to be jealous of Cook, a strokeless plodder. We have no time to imitate Boycott, its pretty easy but boring cricket.

Not a single batsman could cross 10,000 runs lol Teeny Tiny island started playing cricket in 80s and still getting limited tests . They already have two players with 10,000 runs . We have compared great cricketers across the era.. Lara, Tendulkar, Bradman, Dravid, Gavaskar.. none of them are English. They finally managed to find a decent player.. That guy is a south african :phehehe:

They make the money and move onto something else. Countries like Sri Lanka and West Indies have limited amount of talent, that's why they have players who debut at 21 and retire at 37. They should have over 10,000 tests playing on roads. If Tendulkar was English, he'd have been forced into retirement from tests when he was 32.
