JaFanatic
There are few innings where he did go berserk at some point but I would rate Yuvi ahead of him any day. 11K runs is massive in ODIs but 8 out of his 22 tons were against Kenya, Nambia and Bangladesh. He's got 1 ton oversees against Australia, England, NZ and WI averaging 31 with a SR of 70 whereas Yuvraj averages 32 with a SR of 82+ and 2 tons. Sachin & Sehwag with 3 tons each averages 42 (SR: 85+) and 34 (SR: 94+) respectively. :hatsoff: Dhoni with an average of 44 and SR 79 with no tons to show. wrong ganguly avgs 32 in overseas against aus, wi, eng and , nz and yuvi avgs 30 ganguly has 4 tons and 17 fifties in 86 matches yuvi has 3 tons and 10 50s in 69 matches In terms of scoring runs ganguly proves to be a more dependable batsman than yuvi but yuvi edges out ganguly in the scoring rate, but overall i would take ganguly over yuvi Link to comment

SLICKR392
ganguly has a similar avg in away ODIs and 12 more than uv in neutral venues :agree: They have almost the same average but Yuvi's SR is way higher than Ganguly's. Lets bring some other aspect into perspective. Ganguly was easily one of our worst fielders in our post 2000 side whereas Yuvraj was one of the best. Yuvraj, I believe he has won us way more games down the order than Ganguly which includes a MOT in the WC for Yuvi. Easily a better a bowler considering he is a genuine all rounder for us. He has done much better in the middle order than what Ganguly has done opening the innings. Overall- Ganguly > Yuvraj considering the captaincy and Test cricket. Link to comment
