India whitewashed this team not long ago. So we know the standard of that team. But what about standard of English team. They were supposed to whitewash them. They won by a whisker in first test. we have seen in the past if some teams needs to "waste" some time then these tactics are applied -doesn't matter if the opposition is even Bangladesh. All that talk of a whitewash was only coming form the usual suspects who always make such statements. I don't think many people took such statements seriously.

Its a little diff here.... Eng would have lost the first test but for the howler against Broad.... Eng won the second test comprehensively.... Eng would have lost this test but for Rain..... It hardly looks like Eng steamrolling Aus, but they no doubt are a much better team

IT is a bit different in Tests. England did get hammered in this test until rain god saved them. Just because it is a "DRAW" doesn't mean they didn't get hammered.

Fair to say this series, and the India one preceeding it, have gone pretty much exactly as I thought they would, but i predicted 5-0 to England.

It's a shame Australia's brittle batting lineup couldn't rise to the occasion because their bowlers sure did. England for all their hype haven't really dominated and their batting is average outside of Bell/KP. Too bad, I was hoping for a few more tests that at least went to the final day.

I agree with you dude, Its all fake rivalry! None of these teams are really as hyped up as an Indo-Pak Cricket match, A real rivalry would probably be like an India v. Pakistan match, Thats were all the action and nail-biting happens! I really wish there was an India v. Pakistan Ashes, But the rivalry between these 2 is just because of Politics and Government :/
