Pagalpanti Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Will be interested to see how Samson and Chand do in their respective squads.. Both guys have a lot of promise Anyone to look out for in the pace department? Also has Harmeet Singh been sidelined after the ipl-fixing fiasco? He had a lot of hype around him sometime back, even Chappell rated him.. (tho he rated No-hit as well )
JaFanatic Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Check the List A record of the named captain :winky:  he is much worse than mandeep singh whatta stupid selection :wall:
saneindian Posted July 10, 2013 Author Posted July 10, 2013 Ankit Bawne is a good pick. Was expected to lead the last U-19 WC squad before a controversy on his exact DOB led to his exclusion. Has done quite well in FC cricket ( averages almost 50) and has a good list A avg.
saneindian Posted July 10, 2013 Author Posted July 10, 2013 You missed sandeep sharma from the U-23 squad Thanks for pointing out, have added him now.
rkt.india Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Mandeep Singh (21), Rahul Shukla (22), Ankit Rajpoot (19), Mayank Agarwal should have been there in place of Surya, Kaustubh Pawar, Sandeep Warrier and Harshal Patel. Kaustubh Pawar has not played a single one day domestic match yet. What a joke of a selection!
zumi Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 surya kumar yadav has had miserable last two years, not sure if merits the position to captain India U23. some very questionable selections
superstar Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Is he the same guy who THE GOD OF CRICKET thought was unfit to play T20 for MI and MI imported a foreign player since no Indian was good enough :hmmm:
rkt.india Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Is he the same guy who THE GOD OF CRICKET thought was unfit to play T20 for MI and MI imported a foreign player since no Indian was good enough :hmmm: Yeah. He was injured but got fit by then.
rkt.india Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Prashant Chopra averages 23 in List A. Another poor selection.
Sandeep99 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Indian u23 doesn't look enterprising at all! The quality is going down.. you could see it:nervous:
saneindian Posted July 11, 2013 Author Posted July 11, 2013 Selectors have looked at the performances in U-25 CK Nayudu trophy it seems.
MCcricket Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Selections very poor also useless players from Mumbai are picked up, bowling is a joke as well, how can Suyal, Shukla not be in the team, same with players mentioned by rkt.
