SLICKR392 Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Heny Olonga 4-46 vs India at Sharjah 1998' date=' Zimbabwe won by 13 runs[/quote'] I have watched a highlight of Sachin insanely attacking the Zimbabwe bowlers and tonking Olonga mercilessly. Were these figures of Olonga before the finals? I remember the commies saying that this is a ruthless payback from Tendulkar.

Yes, Olanga took 4 wickets including Sachin's, in the match before finals. He kind of gave a send off to Sachin :cantstop: And got repaid kindly in the finals.

It was a tri series between India / SL- Zimbabwe and India-Zimbabwe had qualified already. This game was a dead rubber which Zimbabwe won. Both sides didn't play their best teams FYI. In the finals, Zimbabwe scored around 190+ and India chased it without losing a wicket. Tendulkar went berserk scoring a 120+ in 90 odd balls and Ganguly stood by with a calm 70+ not out. Tendulkar took particular liking to Olonga who had dismissed him the previous match and smashed him all over. Zimbabwe did have a chance to get Tendulkar out though - he miscued Paul Strang bowling round the wicket into the air around square leg. Both, Strang and Andy Flower had some sort of communication break down with Flower eventually dropping the catch.

A.Flower called for it with the gloves on but he rushed in for the catch. Lovely knock that was from SRT. Slogfest in the 90s.

Debutant Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Pujara is not an ordinary player and that 204 was not something unbelievable. He is known for scoring lots of huge scores in domestic competitions.
